I guess someone who has the time will probably make a separate thread for Season 2, right?

Uh guys? Is it time to place this show in the queue of upcoming "need to watch" list?

I will definitely be watching. The season dragged but the end was the exact direction I was hoping for. So I will definitely give it a chance.

Wow, that was really a cool episode.
A couple of things that made it real neat:
* Who knew Hitler would be a nice guy in hell? Albeit, kind of a wimp.
* And Eugene (aka arseface) getting a glimpse into Hitler's torture while his was being repaired was cool.
* The Preacher's and Cassidy's search for God leads them to discover how the fake god auditioned for the role and got the part.
* And boy oh boy oh boy. The Cowboy walking on the side of the highway on the city limits of New Orleans was a great image to end the episode.

Oh shit! That episode also paid homage to American Psycho but instead of Phil Collins, it was Billy Joel!

Been lagging behind in keeping up with the most recent episode, but I gotta say, this has really been fun television this season. The beginning of the episode titled "Sokosha" was really thought provoking. You know how there's a black market for organs (like kidneys and stuff) in real life. Well, Preacher extrapolates on that and says, oh by the way, in our world, you can sell a percentage of your soul.

Wow, got interrupted during the epi and now finished it. So the Preacher gave the Cowboy 1% of his soul which allowed him to command him with THE WORD. Prior it didn't work on The Cowboy (aka Saint of Killers) because he didn't have a soul. The Preacher promised he'd send him to heaven but reneged. He didn't even send him back to hell either, instead he captured The Cowboy in that indestructible Brinks Armour type truck the Japanese are using for soul extraction and processing and sunk it in the swamps of LA. DAYUUUM, that's really messed up.
Too spoilery? Meh, if you come here you should be watching, so no spoiler tag required, imnsho. So zip it, kay?

I hate to admit it, but I gave up on Season 2. I just didn't care enough about Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy as characters to get invested this season.
“The others followed, and found themselves in a small, stuffy basement, which would have been damp, smelly, close, and dark, were it not, in fact, well-lit, which prevented it from being dark.”

It's actually been better then season 1, imo. Did you stick around long enough for the introduction of Herr Starr? He's go to be one of the most bonkers bad guys to ever be introduced in a television show. The rape fantasy he charged his subordinates to arrange was so flippin absurd. And yeah, I know, rape should be handled delicately in any medium, but the twist made it such a "you gotta be shittin me" moment.

Damn, that was television gold.

I stalled out on the episode where in the flashback Jesse and Tulip were trying to have another baby and live a more normal life. I just wasn't feeling it. The Tivo is at 90%, so I cut bait.

Ah, bummer man. If you have an On Demand option with your service, you should at least watch the episodes with Herr Starr. I'm tellin you, it's some bonkers television.

Okay, I've been holding off posting this, but my hand has been forced.

huh ... Just read some celebrity news that the actor (Dominic Cooper) who plays the Preacher/Jesse and the actress (Ruth Negga) who plays Tulip were a couple irl (I did not know that) and have broken up after eight years together. I wonder how this will impact the show? I'm guessing the show is good for a couple more seasons, right?
