So what makes you say that once the portal is opened that the Spirit thing can get to the portal instantly? It suggests you know more about this than the rest of us, and is why I would vote for you right now.

I see what Tennes is saying and it does hold up if you add in the part about movement inside the spirit world being randomly chosen. That would explain the downsides of the spirt library and fog of souls - people get there by a roll of the die.

You're confusing yourself. It is Unalaq who wants to become DA, not Iroh, and that is what Tennes is saying. I think Tennes explained themselves pretty well actually.
