I think you guys are thinking that I'm proposing to force players into a scum category. I am not. I am proposing a way to identify which player is which number, so we know who to lynch when the time comes.

At this point I'm voting you because you're refusing to lynch anyone.

And fuck it, I'm player 5

Thank you GL.

Ruse, that makes you Player 7 I think?

It does however disprove my theory as to damage inflicted proportional to how scummy someone is. I think. I will check in the software sometime today.

Ahh nope, my bad. 8 or 9.

Based off Eloths claim to have submitted you for a kill both N0 and N1 if anyone was wondering.

So, to summarise game so far - we're all probably town and therefore should be working together to find the optimal way to resolve some of us to scum. It doesn't matter who because we should all be playing for town at this point because that is our most likely state.

Okay, we can play this three ways.

Way 1;
Vote Night lots and lots to try and narrow down %ages. From experimentation with the software this is going to be a very long, boring game. I will request modkill out of sheer boredom if this happens.

Way 2;
Lynch someone or even two people. This, as GL has said, narrows down roles significantly. Yes, someone dies. Yes, we should try to make it as scummy a %age chance result as possible. Your guess as to who Players 6, 11 and 12 are would be welcome.

Way 3;
This'll be a controversial one. We share all our actions. Knowing who tried to kill who will let us narrow down who is which number. Or we could just admit on thread who we are and save all the hassle but I consider that less likely. Once we have a good idea of who is which we can strategically lynch.

What do people think?

Quote

When a character is voted off, any game state in which they would have been killed earlier is eliminated. In particular this means that as soon as someone that player X has attacked is voted off, player X can no longer have been the dominant werewolf on the night they made the attack.

So if everyone tried to kill lets say Merrid and we end up lynching Merrid then everyone automatically become town except any of the players that did not target Merrid. This is one way of ensuring town players, and eliminating certain players of being scum.

That would only leave a select few individuals that actually could be scum.

So we need to know which player has been targeted the most, who targeted that player. Lynch that player and therefore create x amount of CI's

This is the way in which we catch the dominant Scum but not the "sleeper" but takes us into end game with only needing to catch one more scum.

Kalse, the % scum isn't an indicator of how powerful their NA's are, or how many more of their actions will be scum as opposed to someone else, it is simply the display of how many realities remain in which they are scum.

So someone at 25% scum is a scum in 1/4 of all possible realities, it won't affect their NA's or make anyone more likely to die or die harder just because of that.

And Way 4 - Ruse's Way. Which is a bit like Way 3 only coordinated, cooperative town play. And can be combined with Way 2 for those who have little patience/to act as a failsafe should not enough players engage in Way 4.

Given how massively we have cut down on the number of possible realities in these few days, and the fact that players 6 and 11 are quickly approaching high enough %s of being scum that a lynch on them is reasonably likely to kill a scum, I am not going to start lynching random people when it is patently the worse of our options. Those advocating for a virtually guaranteed town lynch are just wannabe scum who aren't acting in town's best interest because their ego is in the way.

Lets have cooler heads prevail please.

It would be everything to do with that. I'd be a hypocrite if I voted to lynch for any other reason other than that. If the mob wishes to lynch, then I would think it would make more sense to off someone who's not keeping up with the game, if it has to be anyone.

Plus I've killed Merrid in the past so lynching them would help make me more townie, right?

Plus my hear hear was about agreeing with the sentiment. After three days of saying the same thing to little effect, I have however become somewhat jaded about its chances.

Yeah we've only voted to go night every day and cut down the number of realities by approximately 80%.

?!?!?!?!?!

I meant with cooperatively focusing actions, obviously. Without that, continually going to night with actions all over the place will eventually result in the doom-mongering situation which the naysayers are talking about, with no one absolute town and many possibilities for scum.

Most critically, it will continue to be difficult to identify who is which number, which would be the whole point.

So the sentiment I was agreeing with, to put it most clearly, was letting cooler heads prevail, people working together etc etc.
