I've read the Red Sister trilogy and the One Word Kill trilogy, loved both of them. Planning to read the Book of the Ice as well (sequel trilogy to the Red Sister right?)

Gotcha. I don't know if that trilogy is a sequel or more of an in-universe thing like Thorns and RQW are.

I finished RQW and wow so I can say is you guys were right, this trilogy is TIGHT and I loved it from start to finish! Really my favourite of if Marks' series, which as you all know is a pretty high bar! I will get round to reading Book of the Ice at some point, for real (I love the Red Sister books too!)
I hope this isn't too annoying but is there a simple way of explaining how the Impossible Times trilogy ties in to RCW/Thorns?

Awesome series isn't it, Jal and Snorri are such an epic double act.
The connection is...

About 75 pages into Lawrence's The Book That Wouldn't Burn and it's good.
And though Mark claims that it's not related to his other series (not the first time he said that!), there is a Crath City in this novel. And quotes taken from various works mention the names Ancrath and Hayes.
Could be Easter eggs, true. But I have a feeling Mark is just messing with our minds again.

God dammit, Pat. It's too early for this teasing, the books not out yet for another couple of weeks!
But was it ever in doubt?! We know Mark likes his shenanigans!

Less than 2 weeks now!
About 250 pages into the book and I must say it's a very slow start to the story. Which is uncharacteristic for Lawrence. The Book That Wouldn't Burn is his longest novel to date, so maybe that explains it.

OK... that made me laugh...
Chapter 28 heading... not really a spoiler but still...
Still really enjoying it... see what you mean about pace, Pat, compared to other books but I think we are getting a lot of mystery here rather than direct action and I'll take that mainly because...
Easter Eggs... aye haha...
Edit...
Have to say, most intrigued by...
