I am going to sleep and won't be back until after time out, so I will say this before I go.
BENDAL HOME I'M CALLING YOU OUT!
Put me in the arena to face skintick you cowardly stain of a horses ass! Your mother spawned you by using an inventive method of stealing a used napkin! You impotent, weak willed, lazy eyed bastard!
PUT ME IN TO FACE HIM! I WILL TAKE DENESMETS PLACE, AND FUCKING MURDER YOUR SCUM SHIELD. BRING. IT. ON.

I don't know what to feel about Skintick's ability reveal. Has anyone thought that Skintick could be making this up because he's a shield, and that Batiatus is the one with this ability to delay his own fight, thus trying to PI Skintick? This may be wild thinking, but we have to consider all. Skintick was defending himself as lynchee with reveals, and there was some defense of him as well. Batiatus made Skintick rhyme in posts. This could be a distance move. I think it's viable that Skintick is a shield, but with 6 votes on Denesmet, it probably isn't wise to try to alter the current lynch path. However, I want my thoughts noted. Skintick wiggled and squirmed through that reveal. I would think an ability to delay a fight would need to be activated with specific words. Conveniently for Skintick, he said his ability happened on its own. I am wary of him, but who can be sure. He could have this ability, but wouldn't Batiatus change the fighter from Skintick to someone else now that he knows of Skintick's ability. If not, I guess Batiatus can't change the fighters once named.
I'd answer sarcastically, but Ghennan got in there before me. Also, your example would perforce require communication between Batiatus and his guards. To me, off-thread comms between the three scum sounds unlikely.

Because people are sheeple?
Clearly I meant every single day, as Merrid was suggesting

Do you have any more in-depth reasoning as to why you're so against a lynch of Denesmet or yourself? Well, I understand yourself, but in terms of a lynch of one of the two fighters. Or is it actually Denesmet specifically you don't want to see lynched?
Rinse and repeat. Why would he pick a guard on day one? The sheeple were guaranteed to bleat. Two town dead no matter who won.

Ghennan has blinders on the fighters. Either he's dumb or he's scum.

I am very interested in how this battle comes out.

First, why do you think scum are better at combat than town?
Second, why do you think Batiatus knows his shields?
1. It was said somewhere that the scum are better fighters, being hammered at the moment, but go read either setup or signup thread
2. I have asked on thread if we think that is the case, and of the opinion that he does not know who they are without them signalling, which is what I think skin has done.
I obviously disagree. I'm firmly of the opinion that Bendal knows his guard. Bendal was too quick with his decree. Waiting for signals is a canard.

Back for a short time.
Names his fighters early on - 6 hours 12min into game. Perhaps he has a time limit to choose the gladiators in? There's been no change to them so far either despite Denesmet being at L2 so I think BH is stuck once he names them. We could wait for the announcement then lynch one of his chosen ones to prevent the NK each night at the expense of BH picking the two targets.
This is a really good thought. I hadnt really thought about a time limit to his announcement and that would give us a bit of an advantage to work things out.
No it isn't. It's already been stated that Bendal can name a replacement should one of his choices be lynched - as will happen if Denesmet is lynched today.
Wilful blindness there Ryadd? Underlined *and* coloured to aid your comprehension.
That's all I've got time for. I am now out for the evening.

How much time do we have left? I came down with a nasty stomach flu so have been out of action for the last day. I see that Denesmet is likely going to be lynched and want to know if I have time to read up or not before I play my vote.

I apologize for my very short posts and limited presence. I hope to have more time after today. This is my only posting window before timeout, and I still am fine with the logic of putting a guard in the arena. Giving Skintick a pass for the moment, and will lay thehammer down on the other contestant.

Haha, was that a poor attempt to turn attentions onto me, you who tried to distance yourself from Batiatus with your very first post?
And what's this about usurping to take his place? No mention of that in the OP. You wouldn't have perhaps got the idea from 1) the previous Tyrant Steve game, and 2) your own role PM, now would you?
And what's this about usurping to take his place? No mention of that in the OP. You wouldn't have perhaps got the idea from 1) the previous Tyrant Steve game, and 2) your own role PM, now would you?
This post is quite stupid, since all of Batiatus's team have to be dead before he can be killed.(stated in the OP)
Please enlighten me as to which part of the post you think is stupid, so that I can in turn enlighten you as to why you are wrong.
In that case you may wish to speak to Ultama, seeing as they're the ones who brought that beauty up, not I.
It does raise two interesting points, however.
1) Where did Ultama get this notion from? As you say, it seems unworkable in this game. And yet there was something similar in the previous Tyrant Steve game (not a usurpation, but a rival cult being formed). However, I for one would discount it - because what we have here is one mechanic being brought into a different context, in a game created by a different mod. So things that happened in the previous Tyrant Steve game probably have little applicability here. Which brings up point...
2) Why is Prazec Goul so quick to vote Ultama, supposedly on the suspicion of having a role which is actually quite unlikely?
I was throwing shit around to see what came of it and the only thing I noticed was Prazec Goul being very trigger happy with a vote. Either lazy town or opportunistic scum. Not sure.

You're a moron. And what if the person playing Bendal is not around in the first 5 or so hours of the game day?
Edit: Not to mention that that is still wanting us to limit our lynches to whatever choices the scum makes every single day.

Secondary observation is I find myself (at least initially) as having little to no interest in looking for speculation-as-someone-having-infinately-more-information (SASHIMI) type posts. That shit bores me to tears. I'm actually more interested in voting for people who appear to be interested in it, because I don't give a flying hammerpants fart.

What! Someone that actually reads the rules? My eyes glaze over anytime I even remotely think about reading them.....zzzzzzzzzzz
What! Oh! I'm suppose to be reading the thread and trying to figure out if I can find anything interesting to contribute to the game even though Denesmet is teetering at the edge of death.

We all should be interested in this. As for your thoughts on how the tyrant role might think, you might be right. He could also wait and hope to see if we get unlucky with the lynches first. However, I have to agree and think Batiatus might place one of his shields in the first fight as strategy.
Yes, I think this too, because they are less likely to be lynched during the day. I think lynching one of the fighters may be the best shot at getting one of his guards. I am assuming they are guards because we have to get them before getting him. I was going to say buddies but guards seem fitting.
If we lynch one of the fighters, it will also answer what happens at night if one of the fighters is lynched.
One thing I did want to say, is that we MUST lynch because if we don't we will run out of time to get Bendal.
An idea that just occurred to me and want to put it out there, what if Bendal has yet to choose his guards? What if the winner of a fight gets that position? Ludicrous to think of maybe, was just a passing thought.
So are we going with the strategy that we should lynch the survivor of the previous nights bout because Boner head has to at some point put up his shields? As to your boneheaded suggestion that Bonehead has to choose his guards make me want to slap you over the head. Dare I say it you have almost given me another strike in the PG alligence category.

So, I'm going to bed but I'm completely happy with my vote on Ghennan.
Here is a quick summary of Ghennan's play so far:
Post 15 - Claimed Ultama was Distancing when he said 'poop on Bendal Home'.
Post 35 - Claiming that Skintick is on Bendal's team because he is taunting him. Ghennan then asks 'do we think he (Bendal) knows who his loyal servants are?' Clearly Fishing for information on what town thinks, since he doesn't know the role setup's we got.
Post 38 - Claims that Tennes is 'interesting' because he is ridiculing Ryadd's dumb post.'
Post 49 - Ghennan says 'I mentioned Skin was buddying up to Bendal, so Bendal is going to make him fight in the arena' because apparently now Ghennan is sure that Bendal knows his shields, in a random aboutface from post 35.
Post 77 - After I call him out on calling people scum/shields just randomly, he gets extremely defensive and claims that everyone else is doing nothing and only he is generating any kind of content, and that anyone who doesn't agree with him isn't trying to 'work for the win'.

I say this is both bullshit, and not beneficial for town.

How can a delayed NK not be beneficial for town. In theory we get two lynches and no NKs until Night Two. Why are you getting so bent out of shape from it. most of your misunderstandings seem to be because of Skin's Rhyming restrictions.

I was awaiting the input of Senator PS, but fear that time runs short. I therefore ask that my warriors -- my titans! -- listen well.
It is unfortunate that you men saw fit to end the life of a fellow gladiator. The House of Batiatus strives for greatest achievement, and is constantly (fucked in the ass) met with hardship. And yet we shall prevail in light of unforeseen circumstance.
Though with these hard times light shines down upon us yet. Our gladiators may meet later in the day, I am led to believe. Such a move reflects well deserved status for our historied house!
I now ask for another of your warriors to stand forth. You've all seen the fire in his eyes. He is mad for glory, women, denarii! And he shall have opportunity, as all great men deserve.
KESSOBAHN SHALL FIGHT SKINTICK IF DENESMET SHOULD PERISH FROM HIS WOUNDS.
Business moves my concern to the market, but know that I am here with you all in preparation for upcoming games.
