When you put in your waivers, the one that you did first is the top priority and so on. You can also edit your priority from your team page.

So if you put in for your defense first, you get them, then you go to the bottom of the waiver priority.

I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

It just compounds my misery a lot more. If I had picked up Sanu before the Packers defense then all would be good. I didn't even need a defense! My projection has gone down from 98 to 92, and Zoom's has gone up to 99.60. Basically I need my bloody team to over perform when all season they have been under performing! Wish me luck guys, she is league leader after all.

WTF? Lamar Miller's totals have been steadily going down, adding a fumble + fumble lost, having some receptions yards taken off, and that's all fine because NFL.com lists the same amount of yards AND the fumble + fumble lost. But now Yahoo subtracts another 1.3 reception points, which is not reflected in the official stats.
