Reports: Adrian Peterson indicted

ESPN.com news services | September 12, 2014
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been indicted by a Montgomery County, Texas, grand jury on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child, multiple media reports are reporting.

The charges were confirmed by attorney Rusty Hardin, the reports said.

Peterson practiced Friday with the Vikings, who play host to the Patriots on Sunday.

Last October Peterson's 2-year-old son died in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, after being allegedly assaulted by a man who was dating the boy's mother. Peterson learned only two months earlier that he was the boy's father. The man who assaulted the boy, Joseph Robert Patterson, was charged with murder and manslaughter.

Evidently disciplined his 11 4 year old son with a switch with open lacerations on thights, butt, and lower back. 2 doctors deemed it child abuse.

If that's true I don't know how awful I think it is, but then I never got the switch: I got spanked and a wooden spoon, but sure as shit not when I was 11. If he hit him anywhere other than the ass, I think I'm okay with the charges.

Edited.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I got a switch. My grandma even made me cut my own, but I lived in a logging community where that was commonish. I also was never hit hard enough to create open lacerations, welts sure, but open bleeding never. I hope he is appropriately punished, and the nfl has to crack down hard. 4-6 game ban at the least.

Slow Ben doing what I would have done had I didn't have any players I wanted to or could (Forsett) cut.

Wondering why Venge took the backup first though. His rankings probably say he scores better in sept games against AFC east teams in even numbered years.

Well, my team seems to take flight. That only means my fall will be that much more painful, but I relish the moment.

On the otherhand, Antonio Gates is keeping me in it.

This week sucks. My number one draft pick is out of commission. I had to put Chris Johnson in against that green bay defense instead, which lost me god knows what. Not that I played him, but RG3 went down. If nothing else I had hoped to use him during Kaep's buy week. Justin hunter was talked up by everyone so I started him as flex when I should of gambled on Ridley against the vikings. So this week isn't so great at all.

My only hopes lie in nick Foles just blowing chunks this week, and maybe , just maybe, I can pull out a win.

Is gates the one that torched Richard Sherman the entire game. After they changed those rules(rules literally named after moves performed by Richard Sherman and crew) these smaller, faster receivers are smoking them.!!!!!

Lol at them seahawks now.. lol.

So, Jamaal Charles and Vernon Davis, with Alshon Jeffrey with a questionalbe hamstring. This is going to be a loooong season.

Highest points in game 1. Lowest in game 2.

This should be an interesting season...

He has better hands and greater upside. I thought that if the vikings get into trouble they are probably going to throw it more which would mean the back up guy. Oh well. I was just grabbing him to block.

Well, if AP ends up being out for an extended period of time he probably will be the better pickup.

In the fantasy league I participate in, I've named my team the Tittsburgh Feelers. Not sure if that has any impact here, just though I would share.Posted Image

Welp AP is now barred from all Team and League related events and activities until his court case is resolved.
