Maybe it was a crappy thing to do, but I really wasn't thinking in terms of handcuffs when I made the pick. I was thinking in terms of who do I think is the best available RB? It wasn't an intentional handcuff steal. My impression was West is most likely splitting time with Tate. I'm not sure I'm following your logic about committees vs this, but oh well.

West is a 7th/8th round draft pick (depending what source you look at), so expecting him to be there late in the 8th round is dicey. But if we do have a gentlemen's/ladies' agreement not to poach handcuffs, point me to it and I'll work out a deal with HD. I don't want to have bad feelings between people before the season even begins. I want to wait until Drew Brees is kicking all of your asses. (Or having the worst season of his career, which is what I really do to QBs.)

Shan, I wasn't saying your pick was 'the crappy' thing to do. I was talking about grabbing a handcuff in general. West might end up as more of a committee anyway, so it wasn't a bad pick. I just read this in one of the threads one year and have assumed we would be allowed to grab our own handcuffs if we wanted to use a round on them. Especially how someone could get hurt in preseason. But its all good either way to me. I just wouldn't have drafted frank gore when I did if I didn't think Carlos Hyde was someone I had to worry about grabbing before someone else did.

I think you have the steal of the draft with Percy harvin middle round. If he stays healthy he could be top 5 WR. Wilson lost Tate. Harvin will be a super stud.

Im wishing I had been able to grab giovanni Bernard again this year. Grabbed him last year, because he's just a freaking stud, but they let green Ellis steal too many carries. That won't be the case this year. He might get 300 touches and is my pick for break out player of the year.

Just walked by the eagles leaving the downtown marriott to go to play the bears in a preseason game. I just ignored the barricades and didn't realize what it was until after I was passed.... Would have nice to have seen chip.
