Got a day to go for town hall lvl 5 so really short on builders. Have been running into strong cannons. Been thinking of getting balloons. How do they work? Do they explode like the wallbreakers or do they just attack mortars and cannons?

They attack defenses by dropping bombs on them, the bombs deal damage to the defense and all buildings around it. They are useful if you can get rid of air defenses fast and distract archer towers with other troops, but they have a low health and low movement speed.

What do you guys think about a market system for the game? trading Elixir for gold or ...
I think something like it should exist. I have 1.7 mil elixir in storage and have nothing to spend it on. I need gold desperately on the other hand.

So I've rebuild my clan castle. Only level one as I have more important things to use my two builders on (TH lvl 5 & barracks Lvl6 at the moment) So which Malazan are you? There are a lot surprisingly. And if I'm reading it correctly not very many have a lot of members. Most have only one or two.

I've unfortunately been dropping a ton of trophies at the moment. I think I've gotten the hang of raiding. Hit the resources hard and heavy and make sure you gain more than you spend getting them. That is leading me to losing a lot of battles but it sure has been profitable. I'm hoping by tomorrow I'll have me some balloons and I think I should have enough elixir to get my 2 rally camps to level 4.

Speaking of the camps. I was taking a look at other players villages. I see a few people with level 6 camps and they can hold something like 200 troops each. Yet I'm at level 3 and can hold only 70 and upgrading to the next level gains only 5 more troops for each camp. What gives? Do you get huge jumps at level 5 and 6?

Oh and I've been losing a lot of defenses as well as my th is outside my defenses. I don't give up a ton of resources but I lose tons of trophies as people take out my TH very easily while their troops get slaughtered.

I even took out this one player that sent in 9 giants. I don't have enough walls to surround my defenses but it sure was fun to see the giants hit the spring traps and fly off the screen. Else it could have been very ugly for me.

Like I told you. Trophies don't matter. Let people take them 10 at a time while you keep your resources and build up your defenses.

You don't want to move town hall fast. Upgrade everything per town hall as much as possible.

You get more camps that you can then upgrade. I have 4 camps each one is a lv 6 and holds 50 troops per camp. Your camps go up to lv 8 and so each one can hold a total of 60 troops.

I'm trying to get gems so I can get my third builder. As TH 5 nets 10 gems that is 20% of the amount I need so it was worth it for me. I should be getting another 20 sometime this week for hitting the million mark on stolen gold and elixir. Still need to figure out where the last 20 will come from. Will probably throw a ton of troops at the goblins. Only need 5 more stars to get another 10. I'm hoping once I have the balloons I'll be able to get that a lot easier.

It will only be easier for a couple of goblins then they will introduce air defence and make mince meet out of your ballons. But by then you should have joined a clan and be getting troops that are lved up.

I've leveled up my Barbarians, goblins, archers and am currently leveling up my wallbreakers to level 2. I thought about getting giants up to level 2 as well but does the additional 500 elixir recruitment cost for only 60 more hp actually make it worth it. The giants have been a huge disappointment to me so far. For the amount of HP they have compared to the rest of the units they sure get wiped out fast.

Yeah this is what I may say, either a, get to TH6 and stay there until everything including walls are maxed, I am including troops here too. Or b, level up everything before moving on from TH, and to be honest you get a better understanding of the game this way, you know what works, what bases to attack, what dangers to look for, how to funnel, how to whip up a good base for whatever you are saving for, how to defend specific loot, how to raid for specific loot.

I am getting quite good at attacking some TH9's and 10's from my low level 8. I know what I am looking for in that regard, I know which bases I can 100% or know what times I want to grab loot and not care about trophies. I sometimes will raid a TH9 with 2 archers for loot bonus up high, whilst looking for the perfect base.

I know that if a base has 500k loot and I have no chance of even getting 50% that it may be worth it just to take one storage, and I surprise myself with how far I will get into the level.

In war, Dragons and Hogs are an easy 3 star against any TH8 but not TH9 or 10.

For TH9 and 10 I will go with 2 Golems, 12 wizards, 3 pekkas and 2 rage 1 heal, with my barb king. 2 star most times.

Wish I had done this. For reasons that are now lost to me, I tried to upgrade my TH as quickly as possible, and now I am spending ages playing catch up! Am thinking of moving it outside now and dropping a few levels in the trophies.

Wish I had done this. For reasons that are now lost to me, I tried to upgrade my TH as quickly as possible, and now I am spending ages playing catch up! Am thinking of moving it outside now and dropping a few levels in the trophies.

My normal base always has it's TH outside. Have a look at this and what they steal...

So here is my current raid base. They can take the TH very easily but to 50% and get to my Dark Elixir or other storages they find it quite tough. Many walls are in between the dark elixir and the outside base. Mortars and Air are triangulated and covered by storages so it takes time to reach them. I will show you my defense.

Now more often than not the first few attacks happen, someone sniping my base for some quick trophies (I usually fully raid these people back and take more trophies and more loot).

but every now and then someone may try and raid me like this guy below. I was laughing my head off when I watched the replay. 40 balloons was expensive, he used 4 rage and got no loot.
