It is Day 6. 36 hours remaining. 18 hours of registration left.
5 players are alive: Karatallid, Korbas, Okaros, Pran Chole, Ryllandaras
3 votes to lynch. 3 to go to night.
No one has voted.

I realize it's probably going to be me - all I have to say in my defense is that I honestly did not mean to miss end of day. I fucked up, and if I get lynched I understand, but there's no reason to just give the SK a victory by voting out a townie for making a stupid, honest mistake.

As much as I'm "thrilled" that the game is still going, why is Korbas still alive?

I think Hentos made a good point about your contract. So unless he's totally mistaken about how that works, I think you're just an idiot, not scum.

I think that's the right vote, but if it's not, a scum with a possessed alt can win the game with 2 votes on top of yours.

The contractor can freeze liquids at will, including the moisture around another person, immobilizing them.
Ability: You can freeze another player each night. Frozen players are unable to use any night actions for three consecutive nights.
Renumeration: Honesty. You must not lie in the game thread or any off-thread communications.
Relinquish: This contract cannot be relinquished while any other players remain frozen.
Fulfillment: none

As you can see from the above - I was able to relinquish Cryokinesis today. This means that Ryllandaras definitely picked up Pyrokinesis, otherwise he would still be frozen and I would not have been able to Relinquish. Because I had Cryokinesis, I would have been unable to pick up the SK contract because I wouldn't have been able to Relinquish due to Korvalain being frozen, then Ryllandaras being frozen.
The reason I believed Korvalain's story is because he admitted to being frozen, and I had definitely targetted him with Cryo the night before he said he was frozen, and with the other parts of his story being potentially true, I figured he was telling the truth.

I don't see how it could be anyone but Karatallid or Korbas, and I'm thinking it's more likely to be Kara.

He picked up the Shapeshifter contract, which means that he chooses what information is released on finds, CFs, etc. He said not to release anything. I'm thinking as a last fuck you to town.

Incidentally, it sort of bothers me how we've (over several years, I guess) shifted from a mentality of the inactivity timers being just a general guideline and players mostly just letting the mods decide to this hyperaggressive insistance by players that as soon as a player is 1 minute over the modkill timer they must be killed immediately!
IMO, the inactivity timers are just to give an overall guideline to players of how often they should try and post, and gives the mods good grounds for a modkill *if* they feel it is warranted, and so that a player who is modkilled for inactivity doesn't have grounds to complain. Loudly insisting that a player who has surpassed the timer by a single minute be immediately removed from the game seems overzealous and mean-spirited to me.

I absolutely agree with this sentiment about mod-kill, but that is NOT what you told me via PM when I asked. You said something about "letting the possessed waste away without water or food" or something like that.

And it is true - possessing someone and not posting as them could lead to an inactivity modkill. But it doesn't necessarily mean that modkill would follow precisely at 36:01 since they last posted nor that everyone else on-thread or in PMs should be clamoring at me, insisting upon the modkill right away.

Hi guys, apologies for the disappearing act yesterday.
Unfortunately, there were technical issues with the site which prevented me from posting (it was regional/IP-based, not site-wide).
I'm going to have a chat with D'rek about this as it does sorta impact the game.
