Not yet. I spent all last night finishing the main storyline mode and the Dread patrol with my Warlock so I could get her the Void sword.

BK, word has it you need to do the Heroic Strike (It might work on playlist too) to get it, and you must get the last hit on the last of the Flayers you fight (as only the last one is considered the boss)...and possibly using your sword to beat them quick? Either way, this seems to be when most people find the cloak drops.

I got the solar flayer mantle...I don't have a hunter. The boss specific drops are increased when it's the nightfall. I've done this weeks once for myself and another to help a buddy. Got Treads Upon Stars both times. I believe I got the cloak when it was the nightfall too.

Yeah, I'd wait until the nightfall to farm it. I'll be doing that this week for mau'uals maulers and hopefully a treads upon stars with firefly.

Have played a few hours of this, its fun, but can be frustrating at times. My style of play is probably anathema to what the game is supposed to really be about.

Its definitely the cause of my current block, stuck on Venus trying to decode the Vek brain and waves of vek come in, the 3rd wave I think it is, has a few big ogre like bastsrds, one of them always goes beserk and chops me up.

The big Vex Majors and Ultras are best to stand back from and hit with heavy weapons (Machine Gun or Rocket Launchers) when you're early on in the game at a lower lvl.

What class and subclass are you playing on?

EDIT: Electricity-based weapons and grenades are good against Vex as it helps them to short out. One of the Hunter grenade subsets you can activate is exceptionally good at that. It's also good to use something like a handcannon and pinpoint headshots for a quicker takedown of them. Just in my experience anyways.

Not sure what your style of play is, but let me just say, against the big guys - Shotguns. Shotguns shot into their mouths while they swing at you stun them and do a ton of damage.

Something you may not know - if you have elemental weapons, you want to MATCH the elemental color on your weapon to the color of the shield of the enemy. Vex normally have arc shields, so if you have a 'blue' weapon, that will blow through their shields easier.

Also, for vex, shoot em right in the juicebox (the little white glowing thing in their torso)

Yeah, but if he's a lower level, standing close up to a Vex big boy to use a shotgun would get him killed pretty fast too if there are more than one.

Yeah, I always stood back from them in early days, with my Hunter AND my Warlock. Sniper rifle or heavy from afar. Grenades that shorted them out too.

And the clash thing is not a rumour, it was confirmed in the weekly update. XD

Pretty glad it's clash, all my match team mates from previous Iron Banana's treated it just like that anyway.

Hoping for some decent gear now the drop rate is fixed. Been raiding the last few weeks so managed to get to 305.

Very little of that made any sense to me.

I'm probably too casual a gamer to really be bothered/understand all the subsets of weapons, when I pick up new shinys I pick the ones with the highest impact basically.

I try and pick off as much as possible at range with the sniper, pop the little flying triangle bastards with the machine gun and get mauled by the big fuckers no matter how much I try to get them at range, then machine gun up close, its the 3 at once I cant handle, probably could deal with 2.
Haven't had a chance to play since my post, might give it a bash tomorrow and try a few different weapons.

Also, I'm a little surprised, out of about 10 matches in IB, only one had a bunch of lag switchers in it...the rest were above board...so that's great.

I had the High score IB bounty in my bounties on the off chance I got the high score (which I never expected to)...turns out you just need to be in the top 3...which I did and got the points.

I like IB because I'm challenged by such good players. I have rounds where I get my ass just handed to me...using my hand canon, I have to be ON POINT with the headshots or I'm toast.

Yeah really chuffed with my IB hawl this time.

Only played Fri and Sat. Got to lvl 5, new ghost shell, 3 chest armours, 2 gloves, the handcannon and a 318 fusion rifle for rank 5.

Was really hoping for the titan helmet but I'm sure it will be available next time.

Loving the set with cryptographic or bone marrow, best looking titan set IMO.

Been doing Lord Shaxx's Crucible quest line to get those weekly crucible playlists from him...but it's long and tedious, about 3/4 of the way through it now...but the rumble playlist is doing my head in...as every mf-ear there is well into 300 lvl, and it's fucking irritating. I just need to come in top 3 twice. That's it.
