Kowalczyk was brutaly strong on the 10 km classic today. It's impressive for her to do so well considering her very poor showing on the 15 km on saturday. It was also rather touching to see how moved she was. Not typically known for being a wellspring of emotion is Kowalczyk. At least not here.

It was nice to see Therese Johaug get the bronze too. Bjørgen's complete collapse was more than a little surprising, but Johaug did very well considering she typically does best on the longer distances. It's easy to cheer for Johaug too, her being the most attractive of the Norwegian skiers.

Impressive by Kowalczyk , but . Her technique looks so bad that if she were a horse, she would have been shot. And now the russians has gone mental and didn't pick Legkov for the 15km.

Norway did surprisingly well against Canada. Hockey, on ice or otherwise, is not very popular here. It'll experience a burst if they keep this up though.

USA v. Russia hockey. Holy Shit! USA! USA! USA!. Comes down to a shoot out. Oshie/Quick V. Kolvachuk/Brobvosky. Putin was watching, you could see the corruption lines emanating from him.

I just don't understand why the Norwegian skis are so fucking pathetic. They just sucks so bad its a wonder that they manage to move at all. It literally hurts to watch. And on top of all Sweden wins. May they hit a tree.

Indeed. It's hard to be mad about it. Davis and White skated their asses off. A close race, but I think they were better than Virtue and Moir.

You should just live in Canada man. We have enough snow now that I no longer have anywhere else to pile it when I shovel. The teetering mountains of shoveled snow are at least 6 or 7 feet high, and the backyard is so deep with it now that the dogs could pretty easily hop over the top of the fence to freedom (this last thing has caused me to ingeniously build snow palisades angling INTO the yard from the fence base up, so they can't get near enough to make the leap)
