Okey, I loaded the file that Tatts gave originally.

Khell/Blue has diplo with TatterBlend/Green. ambassadors accounted for
Twelve/Yellow has diplo with no one. ambassadors accounted for

Here's where things go sideways:

CF/Black has diplo with D'rek/White.
  • black ambassadors accounted for.
  • white amassadors are: 1 in storage, 1 on Black playerboard, and 1 on Red playerboard
  • Black has the traitor card

GnawMor/Red has a white ambassador on his playberboard but it has a red cube on it. Only has 2 ambassadors in storage area.

Yeah, I looked it up in the rules. I technically could do diplo now that I'm in Twelve's hex, if by some miracle I manage to wipe out his population and somebody takes the traitor card before end of round (not likely). If the opportunity arises next round and I'm not trying to fill the spot with a VP then I'll gladly take diplo.

Broken diplo

put the cube back on science I guess.

And we have a winner. CF/Black rightfully has the traitor card from Round 8.

So GnawMor has to put that cube somewhere (which should have happened in Round 8) and I'm not going to worry about where the missing ambassador is.

Dammit, I'd have made that turn 3 different if I would have know I didn't actually have diplo with D'rek.

Looking at turn 4 with fresh knowledge. I'll make a move shortly.

Okey, first the cube goes back to science track

Move:
  • both Cruisers from 108 to 221
  • Cruiser from 308 to 101

Offer diplomatic relations to Twelve: If he accepts, place money cube on ambassador.

We never had diplo all game... heck there's not even any way we *could* have had diplo all game.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Now that is quite a gap. Don't think I'll be pulling out any wins this time around. I didn't think it was that big!

Don't give up, we're going to make it real difficult for twelve to hold on to that lead, so you should get a chance to sneak in and take it! :p

I'm thinking D'rek is the much bigger problem this time. Twelve can drop a hex or 2 and still squeak out a win, but if nobody takes a pass at those monoliths then she'll take it easily. Where is the turn order at? I don't think we're waiting on me right?

Methinks it's Twelve's turn at the moment.

CF, D'rek's Homeworld. That's 6 points. Just being in three battles this round even if it means throwing away a couple of interceptors will get you at least two more points as you will lose one for attacking D'rek but could get you more. That means if I lose one hex and you gain 2 you leap frog me and you win. Just because the point gap is huge now doesn't mean you are out of the running. Khell, Morgnaw and Blatts are most likely out of the running but you me and D'rek still have a good shot at it.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

@Twelve,

I am by no means giving up. Things are looking pretty good for me at the moment...just need to figure out if things are looking *too* good before I commit to anything.

Twelve your a good negotiator.

CF if you take the gc that is an 8 point swing.

Minus 4 from twelve and plus 4 to you.

We're going to try take more points from twelve. Have faith and don't listen to Twelve.
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

I just realized there is an easy way to use the pass order -> turn order variant. I decided not to use it for gIV because I figured that forum play would make it more difficult to keep track of. Thread subtitle should work quite well for that.
