So update on Gnaw.

Still no new news. Vengy tried to give him a call and after an eternity it went to voice mail so we still don't know what's going on with him. I'll try and give him a call myself here after I'm off work.

Well today's a shitty day. Looks like I'm getting laid off. At least that is what I expect to have happen in my meeting in a couple hours as everyone who has had one promptly is heading out the door. Looks like I'm going to be having a lot of free time on my hands soon.

I work in accounting so I'm hopeful I can find something soon. I was given a severance package but I'm not sure if I should be thankful I even got a package or insulted as it's only 6 weeks with zero notice. I'm thinking of calling them up trying to negotiate a longer term. They totally botched the whole execution of the layoff. Our month end is this weekend and the company is trying to move to a three day close. I personally still have well over 10 million dollars in reclass entries that need to be done. No way they are getting everything done in three days now. I'm so glad I am not one of the ones trying to clean up the huge mess they created for those that stayed.

As for the lots of time for Eclipse not so much. Our hot water heater decided that it was going belly up yesterday on top of everything else. I really should be working on that but before I did I wanted to confirm my action




Upgrade Starbases with plasma missiles over both default hull on starbase blueprints. I'll try to check in once a day to see if I need to do anything but I's got lots o stuff to get done.

I really hope you know what you are doing, you could have went for cruiser upgrades and built one this round, but one dread with your production of 2 materials is so bad. If it was to come to me versus you for example, when I have antimatter cannons, you'd be dead before you got to fire. I am committed to going after Twelve this round like everyone else, but I plan on keeping a diplo with you and maybe opening one with either Morg or D'rek. Yes you get to get Adv Materials next round I see but it doesn't improve your siuation much

Blend , what would you like to do here. I know we planned to move both ships into Twelve hex here but Khell does have Neutron Bombs, he could easily move his interceptor into our vacated hex and take over that. We could relinquish the hex maybe but that would mean losing both diplo to Khell and Twelve this round.

You see why we are anxious though right? Your path to glory either goes through us, or Twelve. Now early in this game when you were screwed Blend and I did have no hostile intentions towards you like Twelve did. So if you give your word that you will leave us be then and maybe do another upgrade next go to bankrupt that hex of yours then we will continue to leave you be.

How this would benefit you? After the battle with Twelve we influence the hex to get the diplo. We will be stretched pretty thin with our system. Next round we deinfluence a hex for you to move your ships into, or influence.

Talk to me, what are your plans, maybe we can work to a mutual goal.

Khell, I just had a thought. Maybe it's not a bad idea you taking that hex from me.

I plan on taking Twelve's hex, although it's going to be a tough job. If I take his and you take mine, then there is no loss to us. Maybe in the future we could extend diplo again.
