I wanted Khell to succeed grandiosely in his battle last turn, so that he'd pose a threat to twelve this turn. Instead, twelve gets to sit on a big buttload of materials... too much for me to risk attacking the double ancients hex.

I too wanted him to succeed. I really did, I would have opened up Diplo with Khell and maybe have turned on Twelve but alas it wasn't to be.

Is it just Khell and D'rek that have passed now?

I can only assume Twelve is going for Missiles.
He has over 4 moves available to him this round and he passes. He is on 5 science with 8 income and a -2 discount in the top tech track.
He doesn't have computers though so I am a little perplexed.
Care to share your thoughts on him CF?

I think that judgment is probably sound. The early missile strategy could easily be made to work if he were to make glass cannon dreads (with only missiles and E-computers).
Even if all the improved hulls were drawn next round, there aren't enough to go around, and one or the other of his neighbours would be left with not enough hull to defend against a glass-cannon supercomputing dread.
For that matter, anybody who *doesn't* get either missiles or hull next round is a potential target if Twelve takes the missiles. Via Arcturus, he can get basically anybody on the ropes, or use the threat of that to ensure nobody is competing for the GC.

I would be worried but you do not have Neutron bombs so I am not.

And I think CF has graduated to the big leagues. His analysis is dead on. I'm fairly sure that Impoved hull will make an appearance this round but with both D'rek and CF having awesome science outputs I have to make sure I get missile tech even without computers.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yeah, I only hope I can get either hulls or missiles myself!
I don't really have much ambition for a centre-push, but missiles sure would come in handy fending you off.

Jesus christ People pass fast this round. I figured two actions and a pass would give me rotation at least. Ah well.

Meaning you and I have the power to end the round when we want.
