I am several hours away from Chicago so if you guys decide on Chicago I might be able to drive down and pop up as well.
No Touchy.

Well I had to add it in there to be purely objective! You will note that I voted for your weekend!

Polls are a good idea, much easier to figure out who wants what

Apparently if I were USAnian, I would most likely be from southern Florida. Namely Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Hialeah.
I believe I feel vaguely insulted, and a more than little chagrined.

How many votes are we expecting to get for this? at the moment it looks like July 12th wins with 7 votes, and Chicago wins for location with 5 votes. I'm updating the original post with a list of names. I'm going to make a few assumptions...

I *might* be hopping over the big pond with the GF, dependant on whether or not she's booked for a scientific congress-thingie in Boston.
If I do, we will visit Chicago.
It *might* be even when you guys are doing meet-up stuff.
Then again, it quite likely isn't.

Well, I did some interrogating. After a long, hard, grueling interrogation, the GF said the conference lasts until July 11.
But... she wants to see a bit of Boston and a bit of New York, too.
That me eliminates being in Chicago on the 12th, I fear, unless somehow Boston --> Chicago --> NYC is a lot cheaper than Boston --> NYC --> Chicago.

I voted New Orleans and the latest date only because I will be travelling out that way August 1st and my be able to detour. But whatever you all decide on I'll see what I can do.

Well 8 of you said you could do the 12th 6 of whom for Chicago. I am going to take a wild guess and put Venge, HD and Obdi on the list.

You could probably put KL and Demon Lama down for Chicago as well.

I did the quiz thing - I'm from Ottawa and I got Buffalo, Pembroke Pines and Fort Lauderdale. While I was answering, the majority of the maps showed that my dialects matched northern states, so it's weird that I got 2 Florida cities.

I voted for the 12th and other, because I don't mind where it is.
