Chicago gets my vote, although Nawlins is a mighty temptation. The best times to schedule this are usually in late July or early August.

I will be there and this time, I won't get lost for forty five minutes finding parking.

You folks are plum out of your minds if you want to spend any time in the summer in Louisiana. Have any of you actually been there in the summer? You sweat to death in the shade sitting doing nothing. With all the drinking you folks do someone will die of dehydradtion. I guess that alone will make it epic but it would also make it a serious buzz kill.

But Chicago or New Orleans, either way, I'm out.

Nooooooooooooo bad twelve!

Yeah Chicago seems pretty cool tbh, and I want to visit the Church from the Dresden books, the huge one (St Mary of the Angels or something) Not for any religious reasons, but because it will make reading Dresden much cooler, knowing some of the spots!

Yah right on that "not for any religious reasons" thing. Like it or not you are the official Michael Carpenter of the board.

I've been to New Orleans several times in the summer. It's hot but there are lots of bars to cool off in. Chicago is the top city in the most central location I can think of for board members, but I'm willing to go elsewhere.

I'm good for pretty much wherever. July/Aug sounds good, but it depends on when people are here. Will need to know within the next couple months so I can do that whole schedule time off work thing.

Ps -> Rather not NOLA or the southern states except Cali, but I should be able to make anything work at this point.

I am as far west as you can get before falling into the Pacific but I will be traveling to Mass. in Aug. So depending on where it is at I can try and extend my trip and go.

relatively accurate, although I was dismayed to notice a lack of the term "hogleg" from the roster
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

It put me in Norcal (Modesto & Oakland) and Reno, so it's close but no cigar!

I'll be booking my tickets as soon as I have a summer job, will let you all know dates then.

I took the quiz, just out of interest. I got New York, Yonkers and Jersey City. I have no idea what that says about me.

I took the super extended version of that quiz and got Minneapolis and Madison as my top 2.

Is that close? 2 of 3 wasnt bad on mine.I got a kick on the 1st question asking you say Yall(like we do) or You all. 1st time I went to Kentucky when I was 18 I heard them saying You all and I pissed my pants laughing so hard. It was great.
Plus Im surpiresed they didnt have the word Roof on their. My best friend moved down here from Montana after the 2 hurricanes in 05 and when they say Roof it comes out Ruff. Oh man I thought I was gonna die loln. I love the way we Americans speak.

Well, since I'm a kiwi I don't think it was ever going to be close ;) It is interesting though that my version of the New Zealand accent is apparently closest to New York.

Ironically I'm from MN.

Spokane, Salt Lake City, and Minneapolis

I am from Oregon and have lived in Chicago for the last 15 years so that is pretty good.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

I'm from Nebraska and Kansas, evidently.

Not too different actually. Middle America tends to be the same in the categories.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I wasn't sure how to answer the questions which is probably because I've lived in various spots of the US. A lot of those answers sounded right to me! I could just as easily call a sandwich a sub, hoagie or a grinder LOL Soooo the first time I took the test I got Detroit and Great Lakes area, and the second time San Francisco and Scottsdale. None of these are really right.

Very accurate. Mother is actually in Winston-Salem. And both cities are bout an hour and half from Charlotte.

As for meetup. I'm def not making it to Chicago, but possibly would come if New Orleans.

Wife and I aren't seeing eye to eye at the moment, so a road trip would def be possible.

Took the quiz and answered as a Brit or as close as I could where possible. Turns out I'm from Newark or Yonkers. Thought I would end up more like a Californian as I lived there for a while...
