For someone commenting on PS having more posts about all players you'd think they'd take more of an active interest and you know up their game.

incredibly busy, since I've got 3 rush tasks on my plate all of a sudden. I'm also feeling like crap. if we need a Day 1 pseudo-lynch, I'm of half a mind to volunteer

That wouldn't be real helpful (unless you're just bluffing, of course).

The problem is that usually by the time we're down to so few people, we've already picked up a lot of information. In this game, looks like P-S has more posts than everyone else combined.

You know what?

Vote Eloth.

Because that was just too wanting a case to vote for someone who claiming to volunteer to vote themselves off.

Now this looks like a defense of Tholen, WHO since yesterday has yet to provide us anything of substance and is not around to help us vote. We have already moved off of Tholen and onto others. Scum protecting his partner?

After years of war, the Land of Meat and Potatoes was at peace, though it was a fragile peace. Potatoes had finally torn down the Meat's tyrannical regime, banishing them to The Beef Gravy-yard, a desolate wasteland east of the lush Potato Garden. But you can only keep someone down for so long before they retaliate.

So the potatoes have finally fulfilled their Emerald fantasy of flinging over the Meats. Do the Sir Loins bleed in red or orange? But as ever occurs the foliage is not disciplined enough to handle the Orangeman and their vile sycophants. The arrogance of the Orange must be turned against them.

I still don't get the cultural references now other than some association between the irish and potatoes. i also was confused by desra's reply but forgot to mention it. religion/holy spat? made no sense to me without this irish/english context you're referring to. hence my day 1 comments.

Orangemen, particularly the section "Relationship with loyalist paramilitaries" but also referencing Politics, also parades in Interface areas, particularly Drumcree.

The Orange Order are Unionists, wanting the honourable potatoes of Ireland to remain firmly under the thumb of the English rosbifs.

I posit this is signalling.

I'm on and off for the next few hours

Interesting possibility on the signalling. If he were a symp then who is his master?

That is funny that you (Desra) should call this signalling, when you responded and voted Kalse.

Indeed, because I considered it to be signalling at the time. I didn't realise how many people wouldn't recognise (or research) the references. Tholen was gaining speed so rather than hold and risk a no lynch I switched. At the time I only recognised the Orange reference, the rest twigged today.

But if he (Kalse) signalled, you appear to be the only one to have responded.

Aaaargh my thinkymeatz!! Desra thinks it is a signal, Denesmet thinks it was a signal to Desra, originally I thought it was something else. That is why I voted Tholen over Kalse yesterday. Yet reading over Desra paint a picture it does seem like Kalse is a symp. Was it not possible that Kalse put in a code? Flip two sides of the argument. I want to hear more from Kalse on this matter. It seems to be a bit over powered for scum to have a symp and two killers, has anyone done the math? I know it mentions some sort of liaison in the OP...

Sir Loin and Chuck Roast have both undergone reconstructive surgery to take on the guise of the Potatoes of Potato Garden, and would use their contact, Spud-Nik, to infiltrate the home of the leader of Potato Garden, Darth Tater, his wife Russet and their family. The Tater clan would quickly realize that something was up and would keep their eyes open in hopes of finding the Meat in their midst.

The question is, do we lynch Kalse today or not? We cannot be sure he is the symp and we should be gunning for the killers because we only have two lynches to get this right. If we believe Kalse to be the symp then lynching him today should give us another lynch but if we leave it we could be in trouble.

Sorry, I was away all of yesterday and unable to post.
The Kalse signalling angle is interesting...however I'm not generally a big believer in symps trying to signal masters. Symps get involved in misdirecting town away from their masters, they don't necessarily ever bother to try and let the masters know who they are. Indeed, killers are usually better off working it out through general play, rather than looking out for signals. I just thing that compared to how much we talk about it in games, symps actually signalling masters comes once in a blue moon.

Even though I was only semi-serious when I placed my vote on Tholen, I found a couple of reactions to it interesting. And a couple of reactions is exactly what we're looking for. So Denesmet and Ryll's votes stand out in that regard. I am thus willing to vote for one of those three today.

I'm curious about your Tholen suspicions and the "something else" you mentioned. Do we know that we have a killer PAIR? I did a quick reread of the op and didn't get that out of it. There had to have been some kind of twist to add balance to the game, so since they both used reconstructions, perhaps the killers don't know who eachother are. I think I'd be good with a Kalse or Desra vote.

You mean Denes, I'm Des.

In an 11 player game with 3 scum it may be that each killer is independent and not knowing who the other is with an alternating nights kill, relying on the symp to pair them up.

I know who I meant. You are Desra. Why would I shorten that? Des seemed appropriate to call him at the time. Now you've said you're Des I will just use his full name. My question still stands. I have not seen that variant before Desra, the two seperate scum with a symp linking them up or pointing at targets. What happens when the symp dies? If Kalse was the symp as you suggested then he doesn't point fingers at anyone in that post. Like Denesmet says, you are the only linked to him through the vote reply.

Why would you shorten Denesmet to Des when there's another alt in the game starting with Des?

You may not have seen the variant before but don't forget we have Blend in PS so I take nothing for granted. When the symp dies they just have to try not to kill eachother. Yes if Kalse is symp, because a good symp shouldn't be pointing fingers at anyone here. If it is split killers he needs to get them identified to eachother to avoid a scum role being NK'd. I still want to hear back from Kalse.

i at least agree with the logic here, because tholen has disappeared, hasn't posted since yesterday (3 posts total), and because we missed the lynch on him on day 1, it seems unlikely from the way things are progressing that we will revisit him as a probable target. this is disappointing because it wasted our day 1 lynch but basically gives tholen a free pass since he was already under suspicion and escaped. he doesn't even have to post and no one is looking at him. this is partly why i'm still convinced that denesmet's vote was a successful derailing of the tholen train, regardless of the numbers we had at the end of the day. his vote makes no sense and here is his defense...

So what is the deal with the high number of modkills lately? Is RL just getting too crazy?

On a more of a serious note, can you tell me why you voted elsewhere ie so that we wouldn't get a lynch?

I don't think my vote would have gotten you the lynch, that would have just put Tholen at L1. The Tholen train was completely random, so I voted where there was some quasi reasoning. Without interaction we didn't have even a shitty day one case, it was the poops poop.

reading back this is is a total bullshit explanation. we were 4 hours from the end of a 36 hour day with half the votes needed to lynch, and you somehow magically knew that your vote wouldn't get tholen lynched? you could not possibly have known that, so that doesn't stand up at all. the tholen train was not completely random - he offered to be lynched, actually (THE OPPOSITE OF RANDOM) - and you did not vote where there was any reasoning, quasi or otherwise. you say there wasn't even a shitty day one case, but rather than lynch someone who ASKED to be lynched you decided your vote was better placed where there was NO case at all? help me understand this madness.

No we were 4 hours away from a lynch that didn't have much momentum, nor much of a case, so I supplied an alternative.

ok, let's get the facts straight. we're 32 hours into a 36 hour day with low day 1 participation. we need 6 votes to lynch. we have a train with 3 votes already on one target; no one else has any votes. no momentum? tholen was the only lynch that had ANY momentum. THERE WERENT EVEN ANY OTHER VOTES OUT. and as for no case, again, he offered to be lynched. in lieu of no case, that + already having 3/6 votes and very little time on the clock is a VERY good reason to vote tholen on day 1. alternative? are you fucking joking? you are seriously saying that you thought it was possible in the next 3.5 hours for everyone to magically logon after no posting all day and switch all their votes over to nimander based on your "dragon comment" case? that is not an alternative. it's a terrible vote with no backing that looks like a derail. i honestly don't know how you are getting away with not explaining your actions at all. and now this:

sorry, what? what the fuck does desra's post have to do with kalse? why does desra's post make you "willing to vote kalse"? earlier you did say "I think I'd be good with a Kalse or Desra vote." how does that make sense in light of the post above? you again provide no basis for your vote, i can't see that you provided any reasoning at all other than discussing kalse earlier in the day. this is why i'm keeping my vote here for now, denesmet's play so far leaves a really bad taste in my mouth and it has potentially lost us any info about tholen, who has 3 posts and is not around, and his voting patterns are erratic and generally unhelpful.

please try to explain your way out of this again.

If I was a killer I don't need to respond. I take the knowledge onboard and work with it. Were it one of the killers signalling then they're a fucktard.

As opposed to what Des? What are you thinking here. I am under the assumption we are looking for 2 scum with a possible symp. Your posts are looking dodgy to be honest.

You left out the possibility that I'm a fucktard but neither symp nor killer.

And I had the same thought ref: Dejim Nebrahl and the Denesmet/Desra name confusion. Why would you go there in the first place?

Blend is PS. Assuming anything is bad. Assuming anything when Blend is running things is just flat out stupid.

@Eloth Apparently he's willing to vote Desra or myself on the basis of the signaling case.

As for the signaling: anyone who thinks I was signaling needs to look at the sign-up sheet. There are a minimum 4 UK players. References to the Troubles, the colors orange and/or green, etc were in my opinion fair game. As I said, it writes itself.

For those who don't get the references along with the replies about religion and marches? Really? Those idiots have been killing each other for five hundred years. Read a book.
