I did this when I did my Warren painting.
Went completely away from it for the final one. But reading the wiki, I think I settled on the third one

Imperial Warren

much to work on but I kinda feel this is how I "see" the Imperial Warren. Don't worry too much about the figures, though sure a few good guesses have already been made. I had an idea for a scene but really the goal was to show the environment as was the goal of the competition.

All Crits and Comments are valued and welcome.

Gonna go work on that Bar scene.

AMANAS - Individual WIP

Just Doodling. Developing this old Chestnut and thought I'd try work characters into individual works simultaneously
for the Wiki. Will share an individual of Apsalar next, maybe.

No promises. New years resolution is to keep an eye on the budget and to make less promises I can't keep. starting now

I've been trying online classes for form, light and gesture. Trying to incorporate the results from the classes into my work.

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the Bar scene!

I'll share progress once I've got a face i'm happy with on all the characters in the scene.

Love the Imperial Warren depiction especially. Thinking of all the recent images which people have posted, I am definitely drawn to the pictures which depict a whole scene. Gimme more!!!!! ;-)

Small crit - Hellian and Urb's shins look a little short, but it could be just the armour.

Cheers CN, I have a long list of crits to get through, and you're right, the Shin thing was raised by Kaamos and a few office buddies. I'm going to add Koryk in at the back then start correcting anatomy before the push.

Having fun with Laseen atm. I find I can't work on one project at a time or I lose interest. Wanted to put an honour gaurd behind Laseen but I'm drawing blanks on who to add other than Topper and Possum.

Any and all crits and advice is welcome!

I'll go ahead and fix that ASAP

Got a backlog of crits I'm working through but hope to have my Laseen piece finished by tomorrow then I'll get through all my pending net correspondence and upload more of the gallery to the Wiki. Kaamos has been really helpful giving me crits and I really need to get to them today aswell. The Barscene needs quite a bit of TLC. I don't hate my jobs but they eat up all my art time which REALLY sucks.

Anyways I'll be sure to see to the above request.

I think you need to change the hair colour of the girls, Dolmen. Lassen is supposed to have brown eyes and mousy/fair hair whilst Lorn has long auburn hair (no idea if we get told her eye-colour). Otherwise, I thin the depictions fairly accurately reflect the characters!

Ok, Lorn had Auburn hair, why is that surpring? It's geneticly unlikely she has blue eyes then...thanks for citing that. It makes a biiiig difference.

THAT is definitely NOT Laseen, lol. The descriptions would have been a lot more flattering! That girl has nothing 'mousy' about it!

Unfortunately, when you put any hair colour into google, all you get is hundreds of images of girls with dyed hair, not a mousy one amongst them. I doubt Laseen dyed her hair. To have the description 'mousy' applied, I think it is more likely to be fair-blondish, rather than fair-brown. What you want is a kind of ashblond... best I could find was this image https://www.etsy.com...re-clip-in-hair

Think little mouse, greyish colour, easy to get overlooked against a variety of backgrounds... maybe mix in a bit of brown... whatever you do, it needs to look a boring colour rather than a vibrant anything.
