Considering I didn't get a chance to react yet, does that mean Morgoth's move isn't technically processed yet?
I did say awhile back "pass through to end of round" but that always kind of comes with the provision that nobody attacks me or tries any funny business.

Of course. I figured that once you realized she had come and gone you'd want to not build.

OK Morgoth, I have a plan.
If I plan to bankrupt spica, Formahaut and Psi Capricorni, then I can juuuuuuust afford another reaction to make a starbase in Procyon. It leaves me with pretty piss-poor production going into round 8 (science especially), but it ensures that D'rek can't get a foothold in Procyon (provided she doesn't get unbelievably lucky on rolls). It also requires me influencing Kappa Volantis, which is a good thing in the end.
This plan I feel is pretty necessary, considering she has 12 materials coming in next turn and she already has enough to build a couple of dreads. If we don't nip this right now then she can essentially spam interceptors on all our hexes and we're fucked.
I dont' think there's anything you can do except save money with your reaction retraction. Your interceptor in your homeworld is not within reach.
Man....that wormhole generator....I didn't even know she had it or could obtain it with shrines!
Sound good to you?
EDIT -
I guess the alternative is abandoning the homeworlds to their fate and branching out into neighbouring territories, or base-racing the Northern alliance - though I feel like that's probably not a good plan going into Round 8.

No, you passed as the last person in order in turn 8. You still have one last available opponockity to tune. Turn 9.
As for the map, yes I'll get one but it'll be a couple of hours before I can do it. However, the below are the only changes since the last posted one.
D'rek - MOVe the Sigma Draconis interceptor to Zeta Chameleontis and the Epsilon Carinae interceptor to Delta Corvi
Morgoth - Reaction - Move cruiser to pin D'reks fighter.
D'rek - MOVe the interceptor in Zeta Chameleontis to Procyon

Note: I was on the iPad most of yesterday. Today wont be as bad, but I will not have the time or ability to do maps for another three to four hours. Please check the one I posted last night for errors, especially your ship parts. Those of you in battles, if you get a chance it would be of help to me if you could post a little summary of your ships that will be in a battle. Save me some time this afternoon.
Gnaw cruiser, 3/3 health, 3 initiative, +2 computers, 0 shields, 1x ion cannon, 1x plasma missile battery

Sorry to hold up, I just want a consult with Morgoth before doing anything rash.
It means a pretty significant change of plans if we allow Procyon to be taken this round - namely moving the battleground away from the GC and probably not being able to amass enough points to do anything of consequence before the end of the game.

Keeping our borders secure seems a reasonable. I'll have a lot of wiggle room next round, leaving you with the option to re-influencing the necessary systems. Will you still be able to afford taking Tapper's homeworld?

Yep, that's an essential part of the plan in fact. If for some reason we lose that fight, I am out of the game!

Oh, most certainly yes. You haven't dealt a crushing blow, but you gave us a limp.
@Morgoth again
It might be worth you influencing that warp portal hex too, just so we can clog it with starbases in the future should the need arise. This wormhole generator problem isn't exactly going to go away.

Hmm. One would be sufficient as a stop on her I think. Two would keep me from harassing the lichen. *shrug* Of course, you humans did dilute the fungicide you sold us.

In the system she swept through using the WH generator you mean.
That's just as good I guess. Save the resources for now.
We are going to have to turn up the hate next round.
EDIT
Gnaw has a good point too - might as well keep that avenue open for him.
