You know morgoth, I think I can pass right now. Projecting production over the next couple of rounds, I don't think I really need to realign Spica just yet.

I can still do a reaction upgrade to my computers, and a reaction build of a starbase.. Should set me up well for next turn and allow me to get the plasma missiles if they come up for grabs.

Man, turtling is a totally different game .

Any reason you can think of why this is a terrible idea?

I was just consulting in case you had some master combat plan that would require me to build and move ships to your aid. I definitely don't want to leave you out in the cold if you need military assistance.

OTOH, Tapper seems to be consolidating his gains in the GC and IH looks like he's going to be spending his resources to crush Twelve. With not much pressure an early pass and resource hoarding isn't a terrible idea.

EDIT - so if you feel safe I'll just pass and react as necessary. I can do like 6 reactions without going bankrupt, so I may be able to help if necessary still.

Hmm...I was wondering what the two VP icons on the tile were. Just to imply that you each get 1vp from being in diplo??

All the icons mean something in this game. I was thiking maybe security council was a way of upgrading your diplo so as to give each player an extra VP or something. As it stands I guess it's a cheapo way to place another combat VP or diplo tile...just seems funny it would be a complete reiteration of the "diplomatic fleet" tile....especially considering that tile has no VP icons on it.

Oh I know, but even if you had ships available you wouldn't be able to help with the sort of tentative idea I'm playing with. It's connected to too many variables at any rate.

Hmm..strange then. Maybe just an updated way of doing the icons for that tile, considering the previous one came out with the expansion content which was a year or so prior.

still a good thing to get if you're maintaining a lot of diplo but still want to get combat VPs by other means.
