Can we have a special prize for "best roleplayer".

I feel like I'm the only one putting in the effort anymore and even if I lose the game it would be a win for me in the RP sense. :D

"Captain wake up!" Dr Hed was shouting at him. "Captain we need you. Wake up God damn you!"
Oliver blinked open his eyes. The light from the luminella cortex was blinding. He shut his eyes once more.
"Don't make me do this Captain, I have high respect for you, but you need to get your shit together!" Miss Gemony shouted.
Captain O Ryan turned his back to the incessant noise projecting itself at him. He wanted to be alone. Just left alone.
Suddenly something cold splashed down across his entire body, he immediately was shocked awake.

Ganoes Paran watched from afar as things unfolded without his control. The Orion Hedgemony was a lifeless beast. Strong when provoked but of late they have been nothing but a sleeping giant. On a mission, as part of their new alliance, they went to eradicate the threat of a fungal growth spreading throughout the Galaxy. If left unchecked this growth would have wiped out their alliance member's home world and all the citizens within it. Knowing full well that the mighty Lyran's may approach their territory with hostile minds, the Hedgemony moved against the Planta. Whilst away the sneaky Lyran's moved on two of the hexes that the Orion owned. Slaughter ensued. The citizen's of Rigel cried out, as the hammer the Lyran's wielded smashed against them time and time again. They issued the white flag but the Lyran's wanted no Rigelarian to survive to tell the tale. Ganoes watched with tear filled eyes as his people were annihilated.

Captain Ryan, Dr Hed, Lieutenant Gemony, who am I kidding, thought Orion. Asleep too long he awoke to the painful cries of thousands of citizens. No longer will this beast sleep. No longer will he forgive those who trespass against him. He is Orion and THIS. IS. WAR!!!!

Krrnnch!

Tlk!

Pak!

From Rigel to Beta Lyrae to Phi Piscum, a chorus of crunches, pops, snaps and satisfied moans echoed through the upper galaxy. The bones of the Rigelarians, lightly salted with neutron radiation, turned out to be a euphoric experience when eaten with a warm glass of ooomi. This new delicacy had become an empire-wide craze. A whole industry had sprung up for the collection and sale of the bones, already on its way to becoming a dominant economic resource industry.

Turn 1 provisional:

  • If D'rek doesn't influence Iota Bootis, move int from Sigma Draconis to Iota Bootis.
  • Otherwise influence

    • Delta Corvi then Zeta Chameliontis.
    • Colonize mats planet and money on orbital.
    • Flip ships back up.
  • 0 upkeep. 0, 5, 4.

Pause this while I dissect IH's statement.

*sniff* You didn't rep me for my RP while hammered. I thought it was pretty good under the circumstances. :D

That brings up an idea I had some time back. It would depend upon whomever is running the next game but I suggest an MVP/Player of the Match type award with prize being the first spot in the play list.

(winning the game is its own reward)

Ah. I was planning on doing so. Just didn't want to say which one.

Now, which one? I hate to tie a ship up just for that hex but I'd rather not have her influence it and be able to build there.

IH: are you sure about influencing hexes next to ones with ships in them?? I know you can explore from ships but for influence I thought it could only be the hex the ship was in.

We intercepted a transmission. And these barbarians who eat the dead of their fallen enemies thought wise to exile us? For crimes not near as heinous?! Oh to be able to sudjegate these lowly creatures and teach them basic decency.

Do we have a plan? An idea? A stray thought?

I am planning on influencing IH's homeworld and 392. And see if I can steal Khell's warp portal?

Gnaw my advice for this round onwards is to make sure your battles are winnable. One interceptor is easy to be beaten. 3 in one hex with lots of missiles is going to be a lot more scary. I would love you to hit D'rek in Iota Bootus regardless of what she does. I would even ask you to go for Rigel if possible and I'd join you with that cruiser up there. Basically I want her defending against you. IH is going to have some fun with Twelve. That leaves me to maybe go for the GC or attack Khell. Although Khell would look a lot more scarier wih Gluon Computers.

Would you quit trying to sell the whole Gluon Computers to Khell bit. Sentient Hull would be a better choice for Khell. He won't ever make up the inititive deficit so he needs to go with hulls that double as a computer.

Pardon??

You do realize I spent the last three rounds basically sacrificing ships to attempt to keep others swatting flies. Intentionally.

Not just yours. Now that it's come out I have more pressing needs. Like not getting stuck on the wrong side of a supernova with ships that actually stand a chance against IH and his frickin armada. He'll be able to field all but 5 of his ships by the end of this round with all the materials he generates. Him getting the missiles from the discovery tile made me winning a hard fought battle to me getting blown out of space even with the gluon computers.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but recent studies show that Khell should pick the gluon computer as his next scientific discovery.

Yes, but it has harmed you and your production. I think you could do a lot of harm to D'rek this round. I don't mind helping you take Rigel with my cruiser. It stops her from having the artifact. Just make sure your home world is defended.

Your most heinous of crimes - the not wearing of any space pants - is far more serious, and until rectified exiled you should and shall remain!
