Interesting, wasn't expecting you to go for the centre this turn. Risky business.

Damn. I was hoping Tapper would decide to pick off 104.
If I move an interceptor to 105 IH is no longer pinned by Morgoth but is still pinned by the ancient correct??

If you move an int to 105 there would then be in 105:
1x Gnaw Interceptor
1x IH Cruiser
1x Morgoth Cruiser
1x Ancient Ship
right?
In that case then, from IH's perspective there is 1 of his own ships, 1 of his allies' ships and 2 enemy ships. 2 = 2 all of IH's ships are pinned.

So you're saying that Morgoth and the ancient combine for pinning purposes? I didn't think it worked that way.

It's not a matter of "combining" nor is there any idea of being pinned by a particular other player/ancients.
When you want to MOVe a ship out of a hex, you compare the number of your ships + your allies' ships versus the number of enemy ships in the hex. If yours + allies is higher than enemies, you can move the ship out of the hex.
In this case, if IH wants to use one of the arrows of his MOVe action on his ship in 105, his comparison is:
Him = 1 ship
Allies = 1 ship
Enemies = 2 ships
(Neutral = none and they wouldn't matter anyways)
His 1 + his allies' 1 is not greater than the number of enemy ships (2) so he cannot move a ship out.
Morgoth and the Ancients are not allies, but that doesn't matter. What matters is if they are IH's enemies, and both are. If Twelve and Tapper each moved a ship into 105 as well, there'd be 5 different "factions" in the hex, and IH would still be pinned by the sum of the ancient ship, Morgoth, Tapper and Twelve, all of whom are his enemies.

Yeah you wouldn't be pinned Gnaw (even if you didn't have cloaking device) as there is only one enemy ship from your perspective, and 2 allied ships.
Hostile ships don't cancel out in terms of pinning, so if there were 3 different unallied factions in a hex, in order for one player to exit, they would have to have a ship for each of the other players, so would need 3 ships in order for one to be unpinned.

I wouldn't try and interfere with that combat btw Gnaw, I'm happy enough with losing a cruiser if I have too.
If you are doing another move I'd go to 306, but I've no idea on your upkeep.
Personally I think tatts should move in order to stop you losing your homeworld as well (and more to minimise Khells resources), but I guess you might be planning your upkeep counting on losing your homeworld.

I don't think the Ancient Ships count as allies to Draco, only as neutral. So if Gnaw wants to move the ancient ships don't count against him, but they don't count for him to counter enemy ships, either.

I just hate losing the damn discovery. That was my last chance at one. *shrug*
I don't think Khell is going to attack my hw but he's up so we'll find out shortly.

MOVE Interceptor from Zeta Andromedae to Sigma Draconis.
Colonise materials planet at Zeta Chamaeleontis.
Last night, I had an epic dream about Eclipse. In fact, I think I made Eclipse even better. The board was 3D - a galactic sphere. I ended up moving all my territories from east to west and then finally south, before D'rek made some blitzkrieg move to take the north, and Tapper took the GC. Ah, dreams
