Query to the trees. Two opportunities for reinforced plating of interstellar vehicles remain. We feel the subliminal waves of the galaxy's trembling to the thought that the dark denizens of the galactic north shall achieve this feat. Shall we be of one purpose and intercede to acquire the reinforced plating for ourselves?

Each of your posts so far have been on the side of caution and given our past experiences in the distant past then Orion can see the reason for the distrust. The Enlightened of Lyra need not fear the Orion, we see the need for good alliances with decent species and we would be delighted to work with you for the greater good. No one has informed him of this and I don't think the GC has spotted it either, good catch D'rek. He would have to trade for it which would be a killer this early in the game.

No one has informed him of this and I don't think the GC has spotted it either, good catch D'rek. He would have to trade for it which would be a killer this early in the game.

You see the problem that I see? If he chooses to explore then he may have picked up the hex Tapper just received.

edit I hate being last, it's the waiting. By the time it gets to me the week will be over. We need to get at least one turn in a week if we want the game to move at a better speed. If it is so slow now then imagine what it will be like in a few weeks, or months. Am I just being cranky?

It'll be slow in the early stages with explores because you need to see the hex revealed before positioning it, and the next person has to wait to see how you position before they can position, etc etc etc....

However, the ideal is if everyone can say in a row "I'm exploring here" regatrdless of the previous peoples' orientations and results, and then figure out the orientations sequentially after based on whether you want to connect or not.

Obviously, Khell does not agree with that method of play since he wants to wait for Tapper's entire results. This is probably not necessary - IMO, Khell would probably explore the same places regardless of how Tapper orients his hex, the only difference is how Khell would orient his own hexes. Or, even if it does change his action, Khell could put in a provisional based on how Tapper orients his hex.

I agree with this, The Enlightened are truly enlightened. Moss things need to speed up the spread of their spores or they need to adjust the chemical compost-ition of their travel vessels. There is no need for the delay of the cosmos for hex orientation.

Not true as Terran you can convert 2-1 so you could have used money for science as well.

Is your hex orientated right in the OP D'rek? You can explore South and South West (towards me).

Edit. Unless you meant the Tier 3 hex North East of you.

I was going to say the same but I think the OP isn't correct as my homeworld hex orientation isn't fixed on the map yet either.

Edit: Yep I double checked her post and she clearly stated that hex orientation should be N, NW, S, SE away from Tatts as much as she can.

Not true as Terran you can convert 2-1 so you could have used money for science as well.
