I've been thinking about what happens if we totally wipe out Gnaw, which would be a lot of fun. Would he still count for averaging points in your alliance? That would be pretty bad for you guys.

Heh, I was thinking the same thing, but about Khell As far as I can figure, if he is wiped out he remains and counts for average points, if he is bankrupted he doesn't count for average points.

The only winners would be CF and Morg. I don't know enough about alliances to answer.

Oh please. You are taking Vega and you likely can still retake your homeworld (Still have my fingers crossed that Morgoth might help me out here). With the right colony ships you can go from 2 to 4 science during upkeep. You have the right discounts that you can easily purchase plasma cannons. That would be very bad with your material production.
