Found out the hard way (and I'll let your mind take you where it doesn't want to go)
Holy shit

I'll put in a provisional pass

What you're saying is that she didn't give you a provisional before passing?

Bad news: she'll do it to you again. Often. ^_^

The only way to leave an alliance is by voluntary choice correct?

Twelve has built a nice little hobbit hole there. I'd hate to think that it could benefit just one party.

So Tatts, keep a diplomacy spot open for Twelve. We want to keep IH honest. ^_^

Tatts feel free to take 304 and then we can exchange diplomacy this round before IH takes my homeworld in combat.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Tatts. Let's see what the hippies are going to do before deciding where that dread is going. ^_^

You've got 5 hexes. D'rek can hit 4 of them.

He did: Shard Hull.

I'd like it to go on my dread, over an existing hull point.

IH if I move to the supernova hex I can influence it and it will less likely explode. If I move to 310 and the supernova explodes I will be stranded. What do you think? I would prefer not to lose a dread for the rest of the game but I can see the benefits of having both hexes 310 and 318 for the rest of the game, putting monoliths in there to boost VP's.

I thought you were grooming me to attack Twelve's home world this go not Vega, and I was going to move my dread against his orbital and interceptor this go. Especially because he cannot afford to do upgrades. That is why I passed when I did.

I've been debating the merits of supernova or 310, there are arguments for both. Initially I was against supernova, as if it explodes you lose the dread, you get one less planet and you don't get a combat draw.

Downside of 310 is your dread could be trapped, but you probably have a couple of turns fighting twelve, and those two hexes could be good. Personally I think 1 dread to seal off that front is a good sacrifice.

If you react to take 310, you still have a reaction to deal with drek. Thinking about it you taking twelves homeworld might have been better, if I'd moved a ship he would have to take the traitor card to attack you. Ah well I think this way we have more chance of dealing with him for good.

Don't worry gnaw, I'm not planning to betray you, too many borders, not enough moves to risk that.

I was thinking the same thing regarding the alliance.

So after thinking about it you think that take a chance on the supernova exploding, go for 310?

I will be able to influence one of each planet on 310, if D'rek attacks me I can still afford 2 moves, I will just bankrupt a hex rather than let her wipe something out. Reason behind that, is I want to grab a research first next round, and if she attacks me she cannot afford to influence, it would force me to influence next round ahead of her and miss my research grab.

Would it be possible to get a map and board update before I make my move, please? Getting a bit hard to track what everyone's been up to since the last one.

Who is he?

The Mayor of Toronto. He's currently being accused of/has been proven to have been taking crack cocaine, boozing, and hiring prostitutes, as well as sexual harassment. But he refuses to step down. In the latest episode, he told reporters on live tv that, with regards to a female employee, he did not want to 'eat her pussy as he had plenty to eat at home', being a happily married man ^_^

ha ha ha. "This is what I am doing and there's fuck all you can do about it!"

What powers do they have? Mayors, do they just assign budgets and stuff like that? If the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper??, wanted him out of office does he have that kind of power? Incidentally I have a friend called Steve Harper :(

This is the problem - without him stepping down voluntarily there seems, currently, to be little anyone can do until his term is up. So everyone's busy trying to find loopholes and caveats and ways to rewrite the law in order to oust him. The newest thing they're focusing on is stripping him of any decision-making powers on budgets and things, i.e. make him a mayor with no powers. But the problem then is, will that also have to then apply to any new mayor?

I'm sure he'll be forced to resign in the end, but in the meantime it's nice to laugh/despair at someone else's mayor for a change (fucking Boris).
