Tatts, IH. Do you remember me saying something about a nasty little plan Twelve and I briefly discussed sometime during game 3? It was to run a ship far into somebody else's territory and drop a warp portal development on them.

While you two are discussing Twelve being trapped, there's a warp portal development just 8 mats away. He's passed so can't get it this round. But one of us is probably going to have to eat that turn 1 next round. I was considering getting it anyway, just not this soon. Dropping it onto my warp portal hex defuses the development and makes that hex worth another VP.


Nah warp portal is 8 material, twelve can't afford it.

I've been expecting Khell to go for it, but he doesn't seem to be biting.

Housekeeping question on colors:

I noticed that some of the colors can change rather drastically when I move the svg or the jpg from screen to screen on my laptop. Red, pink/magenta, and orange seemed to be the worst. So I played with them a bit on the starbases and influence discs.

Does anyone see a difference? Does anyone care? ^_^

D'rek: Pink, purple, or magenta?

Is the red better or worse Twelve?

CF: I can't seem to do anything with the orange. It's not a web friendly color. I can change it to the light blue easily enough.

Red looks fine. The one item that I'm having a bit of trouble is Tatts yellow Dread. It looks a bit yellowish green. All the rest of the colors seem fine to me.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I don't think anybody will care. But I thought I'd ask. I recall Twelve saying something about the orange and red looking similar on his screen.

Changing the colors is easy enough now except for the ships.

Switching those objects from images to vector art has reduced the file size very slightly but increased the stability of inkscape. Which only matters to me until I can figure out how to host the svg file so that browsers can render it. That would be a huge improvement.

Damn. I've really got to start checking for newer posts before submitting.

The ships are still a photo. Recoloring those is more difficult. But doable. I just hadn't got around to it yet.

Edit: I've considered buying the game just so I could get accurate color comparison. But I don't know any souls near me who play board games.

I'm in the same boat. I wish I had a gaming group to get together to play these games live. Otherwise it's not really worth getting. Just an expensive box gathering dust under the bed or in the closet.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I left my phone in work so I won't have it until Monday. That means right now I am logged on to my laptop which I hardly use. My point is, I have just taken a break from my Friday night routine with the wife to come on and make sure I am not holding things up and see if there is anything interesting happening in thread. There wasn't. Sigh.

Twelve is the only provisional which is understandable. Too much going on for provisionals at this point of the round.

pulsar upgrade on the dread: +2 comp on empty slot.

And my idea of RP is stealing a race from an old book series, plugging them in the Eclipse universe, and doing what is essentially fan fiction. Sad but all I could come up with.
