I hear it's fashionable to keep some patches entirely bare these days.

The Planta, naturally, are opposed to such fashions. The Planta believe in verdant growth.

....

The Planta are curious if the bipeds are making fun of them somehow.

this okay khell?

Yep, should be.

@ Gnaw:

The map shows my interceptor at the GC, but it should still be in Pollux.

"Admiral Kzaargh, word has reached me that the Planta have decided they do not have sufficient ships to move on the GC at this time.. Your plan with the plasma missile technology looks to be paying off. Do you wish me to send the intelligence report to the Grand Admiral?"

"No. The Grand Admiral would think I was running to you for support. Besides, saying "I told you so" prematurely could put me in deeper water. Let's wait and see if they do decide not to attack this turn. before we start celebrating."

If you think you had anything to do with it, you are very sadly mistaken :) Just trying to bring as much to the party as possible.

IH/Gnaw, is it worth me doing an upgrade or just keeping as it is? I could remove fusion drive to get shields and place hull on source again.

Talk to IH about that. It's you and him against the hive.

You need two reactions to move the dread, so if you had wanted to upgrade I would have not passed. Upgrading will leave you stronger but not hugely (by upgrading you lose shooting first). I guess your dread is more likely to survive with an upgrade.

Actually, he can't move his dread as configured to the hive.

Reaction move is "one ship, one time"

"move: you are allowed to move only one Ship once. "

No I'm right, he does one reaction moves his ship 3 hexes per his drives. Then he does his second reaction and moves to the hive hex.

It's okay, my next reaction move is upgrade dread fusion drive over normal drive, then next reaction move into hive hex. That will work yes?

Either way it will take me two turns to get into the hive hex. Which one IH decides I will roll with.

Yeah that works. I'm happy with either, not much difference really. I guess the upgrade option gives you more flexibility next go.

@Gnaw,

You put my starbases in the wrong sector. They should be in Formahaut , north of my homeworld.
@Morgoth,

What do you think about me passing here. I'd like to get turn order headed our way so we have a better chance at the good tech. I could build the orbital I had planned to build this round as a reaction just as easily.

the alternative is to build and not sacrifice my ability to do upgrades on the space stations in case Tapper gets all antsy and starts invading Formahaut.

EDIT

I see on re-inspection of the dialogue that Tapper's material is needed for the GC effort now. Maybe we have nothing to worry about...yet.

Have you given any thought to early wormhole generator development?

Are people at the stage where they can leave multiple provisionals yet? I'm doing my upgrade passing and moving the dread to hive as a reaction. Drek tatts tapper and khell all have fairly obvious move sequences to get ships to hive\gc. I presume morgoth is attacking that ancient. Cf I don't know, but I can't imagine anyone else's moves will effect what he does much. I presume gnaw is moving an interceptor into the GC to try and fuck things up. Shall we accelerate things? Once cf and morgoth go it is right back round to you tapper
