With Yoshiatsu captured, the fighting had become fierce at Arai castle, with main pushes by the Fujiwari forces coming fiercely not allowing the Miura defenders any rest. But still the castle held. For now.
Hirotomo Toronobu slashed across the face of the enemy as the soldier attempted to advance along the wall towards the gate to help his comrades there. As the man reeled back, Toronobu stabbed savagely, barely aiming his blow. It took the man in the neck, and his scream became a hissing gurgle as blood fountained from the wound. Placing a foot on the soldier's chest, Toronobu shoved to free his sword. He turned to rejoin his command group who was currently holding the section of wall near the Northeast gate where possession of the gate had become fiercely contested, first held by the Fujiwari then retaken by the Miura, only to be driven out once again by a fresh wave of attackers. He wouldn't make it. Faced suddenly by two enemies at once, he charged one which opened him to a spear thrust by the other. Impaled in the belly, he tried to throw his sword at the soldier but his strength had left him in a rush. Now it was his neck that fountained lifeblood as the second soldier swung the finishing blow. He fell amongst the dead and dying below the wall to await his journey into hell.
Eloth is dead. He was Hirotomo Toronobu and TheDude of Arai Castle.
It is now Night 8

Kansuke glanced towards the hut his overseer had withdrawn into, suddenly wary now the stream of fearful curses had stopped. He had prayed daily at the small shrine in the castle courtyard for guidance, perhaps it had been worth the beatings for not performing his duty upon the walls if it brought his master back into the fight. He looked back on the past week, grateful that the other samurai in the city had been so willing to overlook the constant curses and odd noises emerging from the overseers hut. Not to mention the occasional streaks of glaring blue lightning arcing through the windows and into the street beyond.
As Kansuke approached the portal he could hear a low voice muttering. It was coming from within, but the words made no sense. Something about changing the board of his mother? Replacing the central processesor? Surely his overseer wasn't behind the death of his own general? But that couldn't be, they had all seen the general fall, had all joined in the keening grief at the fall of such a hero to the treacherous Fujiwari hordes. There was something more - cursing a someone named Amazon - perhaps the housekeeper, Kansuke wasn't familiar with the details of the household. He drew nearer.
A cautious glace through the doorway revealed a bizarre scene, the overseer was crouched low over a metal box on the floor and seemed to be sewing together a collection of strange shaped objects with heavy threads, cackling as he did. Perhaps he had finally taken the final step into madness? Kansuke looked around, hopeful for some fellow soldiers to help him apprehend his leader. No-one was in sight, likely everyone had been drawn away by the latest attempt on the gates of the citadel. Offering a quick prayer to the local spirits Kansuke stepped into the room.
As his foot crossed the threshold, the overseer stood, placed a finger upon an ornate glyph painted on one side of the box and leapt back. The box began to make a low whirring noise, this apparently delighted the overseer who punched the air and screamed triumphantly at the walls. The scream cut short as the noises from the box stuttered, but only for a moment. Kansuke looked back at his overseer and jumped to find the man looking back at him. As he scrambled for an acceptable reason for intruding he realised he was being addressed.
"Go forth Kansuke and gather my squard, I shall review them in 5 hours," said the overseer, seemingly sane once more. "I've spent this last week cursing the fates that my greatest weapon failed me at a critical juncture, now, I have restored it to its fullest power. No longer shall I be crippled by the faults of this box. With the ability to view entire pages, and to hold open multiple tabs in my hand, once more shall great leaps of deductive reasoning win this battle for us. Now go!" As Kansuke ran to gather the rest of his squad he reflected to himself that maybe sanity had indeed slipped. Regardless, the overseer was active once more and he and his squad would take the fight to the enemy once again.

I think that means that the delivery service dropped off a new computer and he's RPing it.

Fuck it. I think this is D-day. congrats, scum if you've been withholding. You've gotten me to blink first.
I am Captain Nagao Tamemasa. After my commanding officer came down with a mortal case of suicidal stupid, I believe i'm the CO of Edo castle.
I am also a guard. my guard also functions as a limited find, because I am told whether or not I successfully targeted my target (no word on whether the guard actually worked though, obv). I take this as a lkimited find, b/c it helps me to identify who's around Edo (since it would make no sense for me to be able to guard people in Arai).
Night 1 I guarded Alkend, b/c he escaped a lynch. I was told I failed, and next day he revealed to be in Arai
Night 2 I guarded Rashan. I successfully targetted him, but there were 2 deaths that night. since then I've been hinting thhat I think Rash is inno.
After night 3 onwards I've been guarding Tellan. Since then we've had no NKs in Edo except for Kalse kill (claimed by Rash)
So here it is. I got nothing else to play. if scum have been fucking with us, good job. but 4 nights in a row seems a longshot.
so.
vote Tellan
