I got the client and downloaded a couple free games, we'll see how it goes.

That FTL game didn't look too exciting in the screenshots

Soooooo I just sat down for just a few moments with Anno 2070. It is now 5:43 am. Needless to say, the game can keep you glued to the screen...
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly. So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

To me the attraction of the game lies in this uncertainty of the next encounter and the challenge micromanagement in a crisis provides.

EDIT: Also there is a ton of mods for the game that greatly lengthens and improves upon the experience.

Picked up Tomb Raider reboot.

Not seeing much else I'm interested in so far...

Im trying to decide whether or not to get the DLC for Civ 5, got the game free from steam when I bought Xcom months ago and only got round to trying it the other day. Found out I had been missing out, that game is great. Probably end up spending more time on it than Xcom.

xcom:enemy unknown +DLC - Amazing game, strongly recommend to anyone. Great Tactical, permadeath, hardcore old school game!
Anno 2070 - Promised to pick it up when on special, so I did. Love the look of it
FTL - Amazing small indie game. Good for 30 min to five hours of throw away or intense fun
Witcher - Ask Gothos

Mmmm....Remember Me has 40% off in a daily deal. Is it likely to get any lower or is this the time to grab it? To be honest, it's still £18 and I'd rather get it cheaper than that, if I can.

OK guys. DON'T launch Anno 2070 if you have something to do that day, like sleeping or work. Swallows time like Civ V...

I see Kerbal Space program is on sale now, 40% off. It's still early beta (0.2 I think) but I've had tons of fun with it already. That they're doing the Mount and Blade/Minecraft business model only makes them better in my eyes.

If you want to keep an eye on the Flash and Community sales, I highly recommend the Steam App for mobiles, makes it much easier.

I've grabbed Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs and an interesting greelit project called Kinetic Void.
Spec Ops: The Line is worth the $7.48 it's currently going for. It's only really good for a single run through, but I thought it was great for that run through (on... story basis for lack of a better way to put it).

Also, remember, when a game goes on sale, all it's DLC get the same discount.

Yep, got all the Just Cause 2 DLC for £1.34, and grabbed the two character Borderlands 2 DLC packs for a pittance. Only bad thing about the Season Pass, really.

Total War is actually... rather not as good as it used to be for me. After the 100th battle it gets really tedious so I just tend to autocalc them. And on just the strategic map, TW isn't much at all... at all.
