Fallen Enchantress: Legendary heroes with 66% off. This time around, Stardock succeeded. Get it while you can, it is worth it, imho.

Fallen Enchantress was already a better game than Elemental: War of Magic. But to me, it still lacked something in flavor. LH has added a class/advance mechanic for souvereign and heroes, while giving some stream-lining. Overall, the Elemental community (in sofar as I gleaned from my quick visits to Stardock's forums) considers Legendary Heroes the much better game, and it is the game that they now mod in, plus, it gets more DLC/support over time. Fallen Enchantress proper seems mostly abandoned.

Been losing myself in the Fallout universe for the past few days. Really excited to check out New Vegas once I get through the last few side missions in 3.
Still waiting for Dragonborn to have a 66-75% discount, not sure if it's gonna happen though.

Just a heads up. Don't buy Infestation. It's just War Z that has been renamed and it is a notoriously bad game from the developers who brought you Big Rigs.

Skyrim is the featured game tomorrow so there will probably be some general discounts connected with the series. Maybe. They probably would prefer if you only bought the GOTY edition.

EDIT: Also, Age of Empires II HD for 10 bucks. This is the Steam I remember. I've decided to wait till Xmass for Infinite and Far Cry3

Holy fucking shit is Dark Souls an utterly atrocious port.
It went on sale and I was all set to buy the game and support them for what I keep hearing is an awesome game (and buying it on sale is about as much support as I can afford at the moment).
Instead-upon recommendation-I tried it out first to make sure it had achieved what everyone says, and is satisfying hard instead of just frustrating/bad hard.
After about 5 minutes with the game and some searching online I have decided that I will in no way support the PC version of this game.
Complain all you want about being "unfamiliar with developing for PC" there's no excuse for not even changing the button prompts. The controls are awful in every way and won't even let you map buttons to the number keys. And that is just the tip of the iceberg of problems.
Yes, it's apparently better with a controller, but when the following paraphrase is accurate:
From Software: "We can't do it."
NeoGAF poster Durante: "I bet I can do it in half an hour."
...23 minutes later: "Look at that! Sometimes I surprise even myself."
An awkward silence now follows into eternity
And you then, even 11 months later, still refuse to release any official fixes to any and all the myriad problems (even though many are simple), you do not get my money. If you really are that unfamiliar with PC development, don't try to do the port yourself, hire some devs (heck, try and get ones who are fans of the game) competent in PC development, and then work with them to do it. May even end up costing less than paying your team of devs who don't know what they're doing, and will certainly net you more sales upon release of an at least competent port.
There's no excuse for this when the game got you enough success to do a sequel.
I am sad and disappointed that this is going to hold back my experience of what does look like an otherwise good, or even great game.
Maybe, I'll borrow a PS3 copy from someone or something, but I won't support this.
PS - I have this here as a warning for anyone considering Dark Souls because of the sale. There are some community fixes for a couple of the problems, but many there are not (and everybody needing to use a community fix for major technical issues is not selling point). So I recommend giving the game a try first, and you can decide whether they get your money.

There are many community fixes.
As for the port situation--yes, it's atrocious. However, there are reasons. Main reason being, Capcom, the publisher had no intentions to bring the game to PC. PC version only happened because of the petition. As such, Capcom, being the Japanese publisher that they are (and thus having no fucking clue what PC gaming is) commissioned From to make the cheapest port possible. I mean, they did so much research on the subject that they decided to use GAFWL for their multi-player (The latter being the reason I didn't buy the game on release. No game that supports GAFWL will EVER get full-price treatment from me),

Yeah, looks like they're just doing 40% discount BS for the legendary edition with Dragonborn still sitting at 30% off. Oh well, I'll just keep waiting, there's bound to be a better sale sooner or later.

The Skyrim DLC is 50% off for me. £7 for Dawnguard and Dragonborn, £1.74 for Hearthfire (still not enough to get me to buy that, haha).

Damn you steam sale, I always but games I'm never going to play. Got some from 2 years ago that I've not even downloaded yet.
This year so far I have succumbed and purchased:
Anna, Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II (inc. Revelations & Brotherhood,) DLC Quest, Dungeons, Dungeons: Dark Lord, Gnomoria, Prison Architect, Prototype 2, Risen 2: Dark Waters, Under the Ocean.
I've been playing with the KSB demo, just waiting for it to be on a better offer before I pick it up.
Since other people are on about their cards too, I have need of: Dead Island Riptide, Football Manager 2013 and Torchlight II. I have the following duplicates: 1 Bioshock Infinite, 1 Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, 2 Kerbal Space Program, 1 Prison Architect, 3 Reus, 1 Skyrim
Anyone wants to swap them for the stuff I don't have then PM me on here or on Steam - I'm in there as Messremb, if you can't find me then look in the "The Malazan Empire (MezlaPigdogs)" group, the one with Apt at the helm - I can't find myself in the search so others might struggle.

What the hell? I am the admin of the Malazan Steam group?! When did this happen? Did I make this group? If not me then who made me admin? I am confused.
Anyway, I just made all the people I recognize into moderators of the group.
