I would like Aegon to win the throne.
Dany seems much more like the character to die heroically saving the Kingdoms from the White Walkers/Others then the one actually ruling afterwards. Its waaay too predictable for a GRRM storyline for her to end up winning the throne

Hard to say whether a Targyaren ending up on the throne is either too circular a resolution for a story that more or less opens up with them being wiped out, or entirely appropriate.

It's also hinted, iirc, that Aegon the Recent may not actually be a rescued child but just a convincing scam by Griff.

Take it one further... it may be that the Targaryene were always intended to oppose the Ice, but once that conflict is done, so are they.

I hope there won't be a throne by the end. Westeros is gonna get wiped out and a few survivors are gonna say "You know, Essos isn't that bad this time of year."

Yeah, the chat with Varys makes it pretty clear Aegon is legit. He doesn't have any reason to lie to a dying Kevan. I think the theory that he's a fake largely arises from the fact that he appeared suddenly so far along in the series.

Anyone read this yet? http://www.huffingto...kusaolp00000592

Kind of surprising. Does this mean that she'll continue to have very little impact in the books? I know a lot of people were bummed that she wasn't a big reveal at the end of season 4, but she hasn't really done all that much in the last two books. Are the writers simply further separating themselves from Martin's work, or will whatever she does in the next two (or more) books be insignificant?
uhm, that should be 'stuff.' My stiff is never nihilistic.

My guess is it's either a feint or that Beric will stick around but go more and more zombie as he accumulates deaths, and can serve the same purpose. I have no doubt that LS in the books will be a force to be reckoned with or at least a catalyst, but the scale remains to be seen (possibly focused on the Freys).
