If this ability exists, it could have been one of the 3 CFs we've seen so far; there is no way to confirm without killing Denul or Eloth again, so far. I'm not saying we WILL get confirmation, but it's possible we could. This furthers my reasons for lynching Denul, aside from the fact that he isn't on my faction.

uh Denul invites the lynch. is that not a waste of a chance to get info? like you said players can come back. shouldn't we go for more knowledge rather than less?

I think we have to test this new mechanic. If we don't, then we can't be sure that our information is even remotely trustworthy, and we could make assumptions that could hurt our teams.

Also, I have my own personal suspicions of Denul that I won't mention any further.

Tiam is a very interesting character this game. I'm not sure what to make of his enigmatic behavior, nor am I sure that he is or is not on my team. I also am curious why he votes Korabas, but indicates a mimic ability which is damning of Denul, someone who he didn't vote for... Sounds like Denul isn't on his team and I am wondering if that makes Korabas, GL, and Denul linked?

I don't think it is - we'll either get a true positive or a false negative. Either Denul turns up with the same CF, not disproving Mimic but proving his CF is real - or he turns up with a different CF, proving Mimic is real and giving us a new, real CF.

We have 2 factions composed of identical numbers and characters. Epoch and Millenio being removed means we have two each of:
-King Sunday
-Queen Wednesday
-Lady Ete
-Mister Monday
-Sir Thursday
-Tertian

Based on previous games it is likely
-King Sunday has the ability to Time Shift (Epoch being the only other potential candidate for this)
-Mister Monday is a Guard
-Sir Thursday is a Vig
-Queen Weds or Lady Ete has a lover convo with the King (Ete more likely with the back story, although does raise an interesting point - can they be sure their lover is actually the correct version? So maybe Doppelganger Ete is actually talking to Original Sunday?)
-The other of Ete and Weds being RI
-Tertian has been a ninja before, think more likely to be RI this time

Now PS says Originals (I'm going to call them Originals and Doppelgangers from here on unless anyone has any terms they'd prefer) have an information advantage - I'd suspect this means some alts know who the real King Sunday is, or he knows who several real ones are and that roles remain balanced.

So, on to the big mystery, Domingo. Blend says it is based on the Voodoo Master from Mafia 87. A look in the spoilers there tells us that the summoning takes 1 blood sample from each faction plus a sample from a child and a zombie so potentially 5 actions needing to be completed to summon it. We have 2 factions and Domingo has already had contact with everyone so this is where whatever mechanic Blend has put in will fuck with our minds.

At the risk of scaring people, what if Domingo is a FM needing to take out say both King Sundays to absorb their time-displacing and summon Millennium?

TBQH I would expect Domingo to be playing quiet and low since he can coast to victory with *either* side or go for broke and try and take out everyone by summoning Millennium.

For that matter, if summoning Millennium is the only way to heal the time stream shouldn't we all be trying to help rather than bickering?

Really not sure about this. The suggested mechanic is pretty pie in the sky. Tiam, the person suggesting this voted Korabas after all and Galayn is dodging the lynch train on both Korabas and himself by redirecting this ghost mechanic.

Its a shot at tertian. We got that CF and we should be hunting opposites to get them going at each other head to head.

Tertian had a suicide vig ability in the last game. I look at this swing and all I see is questions.

anyway we need a lynch but I'm sticking with Tiam.

I don't know why he used those terms before, honestly, because if he truly is a finder, it seems overpowered to me that a finder could obtain both the faction and role of a player. If Mimic is real, then this makes a Finder super fucking overpowered. My guess is that the finder ability is simple enough to work like a regular finder, which is probably why he revealed like a regular finder would - he just gets faction info. This he can use with the CFs if he wants to combine his info, but it costs him his ability. Basically, I don't think he could know my faction AND role, and so he would only finger me in two situations - a) he has the same role as me and so knows I'm not on his faction, or he got my faction info (just like you'd get back "town" or "scum" in M&P) and tried to make me seem important based on his own assumptions or he was just trying to get my lynched by any means, knowing our opposing factions.

I was voting Denul long before this mechanic was revealed. If he truly is Tertian, then he doesn't have a suicide vig because he just revealed finder and disappeared. If he isn't Tertian, that means he must have the Mimic ability, as that's the only way the CF would be wrong, and lynching him proves that.

Wednesday - probably a lover with one of the Sundays
Ete - probably a lover with the Sunday that Wednesday is not a lover with
Monday - guard
Thursday - vig
Tertian - Finder? Mimic? RI?

Is it possible that either Wed/Ete have the Mimic ability, based on Tiam's post which reveals suspicion on Wed/Ete and announces this Mimic ability at the same time? Too many abilities would make this game OP, and with Tertian so low on the totem pole in terms of game setup, I doubt he has two powerful abilities. If anything, Wed/Ete might have Mimic and/or Lover, and Tertian has the Finder role, based on Denul's reveal. If Denul isn't Tertian due to Mimic, he's got to be Wednesday or Ete, because Finder + Mimic is already a really powerful combo. And that means Tertian would have to be RI or something because there are no abilities left. No, read what I just posted - if there is a suicide vig out there, it can only belong to so many roles. It could be Tertian's - but then when Denul was killed, why was there no suicide vig? That could only be true if Denul isn't Tertian, implying Mimic is real. Now Denul has to have the Finder ability and either a) suicide vig or Mimic. I don't think Tertian has that many abilities, or past that, any combination of those three. Too bogus.

Nope.

Plus, I am of the mind that combining Mimic with almost any other ability makes that role overpowered. The abilities of guard, vig, and Timelord seem to have stayed the same through all games, and vig and guard are very standard roles. The only role I could genuinely suspect of having Mimic + X is where X = Lover. This would line up with information/misinformation, making Mimic almost a negative thing - because the Lover would be talking to Sunday, saying things, and then CF as someone totally different. That would be a useful and confusing game mechanic that I see Blend's name on. Anything else is overreaching the bounds of power, imo.
