Those are really the only twins worth talking about in Marvel at this point in time.

Watching this episode I was thinking an awful lot about how I'd soon like to see a resolution on the whole Gonzales and his powergrab thing. The way I'm seeing it now is that this whole "we're voting about things" is a great big back of dicks scam. Gonzales clearly has an agenda and the only reason he's agreed to the voting thing is because he didn't have any choice in the matter. I'm pretty damn sure that the thing he accuses Coulson of is the same exact thing he'd like to do; arbitrarily making the decisions!

I definitely think that Olmos is delivering the goods and playing his character very well, but Gonzales is a source of conflict, he is NOT a good guy nor is he fighting for the good guys. He has to go.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

I've been binge watching this show since Sunday. I'm at episode 14 in the first season. I'd heard the show was mediocre but I don't really think I have seen writing this bad since Stargate or maybe that Canadian superhero tv show from the 90s.

The budget goes a long way towards saving the show but Agents of SHIELDs writing is so laughably inconsistent and weak that it makes shows like Smallville and Arrow look like The Wire.

I'd been pretty bad but I think episode 14 is the one that makes me go "fuck it, I am only watching this now out of some misplaced loyalty to the marvel universe."

Spoilers up to episode 14 season 1.

Spoiler

And yet I still plan on watching every last episode because, hey, it's Marvel.

I said the same thing about 3 or 4 episodes in. Saying something along these lines: "who does the writing for the show, a high school creative writing class?", and the Josh Whedon sycophants rallied and jumped all over my comment. I'm glad someone else has gotten out of the echo chamber and sees the show objectively.

This for me too. It's Marvel, so I watch but am more often dissapointed then pleased with each episode. I will say there are a handful of episodes that are really solid, so you have that to look forward to.Posted Image

Definitely. I just finished episode 15 right after and while rather predictable the episode featured two Asgardians punching people across rooms and saying awesome shit. I enjoyed every moment about that despite the silly writing.

If it's a simple power play Fury being alive again should put an abrupt stop to it, no?

Oh. Just had a thought about the carrier's cargo. Kree obelisks. And Ramirez/Olmos knows what they are for.

I guess the Carrier/possible Helicarrier will take over? Whatever they use next will need air power.

Oh yes, I hope so, that'll be awesome. I love that design of the Helicarrier.

By the by,

I want one!

Finished season 1 and began on season 2.

Even though I still think the writing is piss poor in this show I have to admit the last part of the season was quite impressive. The way the show progressed from a monster of the week concept to being a continuing arch of events tying into Captain America 2 was quite amazing. While I never liked what they did with SHIELD in the Captain America film I still think it makes the shows events interesting.

I am curious to see where they go from here but judging by the first episode of season 2, the writing is going to remain weak and illogical.

Did you cringe at the grapnel in the ceiling tiles? :)

Anyone else notice that Skye dropped a dozen or so hydra troopers without batting an eye? I really liked the part where she shot them all in the front including losing surprise by kicking the first one in the knee and doing a jujitsu move to twist him towards her so that she could then shoot him the face. Apparently that's her new definition of being a 'good guy'.

But they're HYDRA troops, they're totally the bad guys. Shooting them in the face after beating them up is what the good guys do! Totes!

That Skye goes on a badass rampage scene was done by Kevin Tancharoen, who is basically the next big action movie director in the makings.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Hmmm. I'm fairly certain you just saw any spoilers that aren't already in the AV2 trailers.

edit: although you should probably spoiler your spoilers.

Did they just load Cal down with serum? Oh-boy!

I kinda think Shield deserves this. Hi, please put all of your information on this registry so we can track you down and persecute you later. Kthanksbye.
