I stopped watching this show after the fifth episode - did it get any better? I might watch it again if it did.

Yes. It took until ep ~12 or so, but it finished the back half of the season much better. I think I quit watching ep 3 or 4 but then went back after it started getting better comments here.

Last night's opener was AWE-SOME throughout. Crazy action, crossover with the AGENT CARTER gang (yet to debut of course) at the beginning.

And can we talk about Skye's new badass outfit please?

Like the new team members, and like Tripp's upped role.

Sad about two things:

Poor Fitz hallucinating Simmons the whole time. I did NOT see that coming. And the other sad thing was that Lucy Lawless was only in it for one episode, Boo!

They really did hit the ground running with this ep. Love this show!

seriously didn't see Fitz's bit coming - expect that Simmons may come back with some miracle cure (she's the biology genius after all) - but whether it works? Its Whedon - it may drive him mad/evil.

Oh and seriously though - if they try to redeem Ward I will fly to the states and beat someone senseless.

Tuesday's ep was great. Nothing to dislike. Love the interaction between Fitz and the new guy (can't recall his name just now), and the renewal of whatever is going on inside Coulson with his Kree-blood infused body. Glad to see Absorbing Man put on at least temporary ice (this helps with believing the new Shield Team is achieving something). And by the end of the ep I was like "Where's Simmons?" and sure enough the whole of the next episode seems to focus on her (possibly) infiltrating HYDRA? Also, Ward's brother is a SENATOR?! Bwaaaaat?

Awesome. Love this show.

New guy's name is 'Mac', i think. I really liked their interaction too. Fitz has still got it, it's just harder to access. Makes him a little more interesting.

Wholeheartedly agreed. Whedon and Tanchareon (spelling?) have done a good thing with Fitz. We'd already done the pining over Simmons / crushing on Skye / wanting to be the hero in first season, so I love that we've reset him now INCLUDING his intelligence being stunted. It's a great path for that character. And I feel that Mac will be his mouthpiece going forward. Filling in Fitz's gaps until he gets them back.

Why is May taking pictures?
