If Khell waits and doesn't make a move then I could discuss this further with D'rek.

The Hydrani wait for no one! However, the Hydrani are still mulling over the exact sequence of their moves.

you think I did the right move there?

Don't second-guess. That is for future generations to debate. Ours is not to question, but to do. For we live in a time of action, of noble deeds and tragic endeavours. We are but actors in the play of history, but by the Seven Holy Seashells, do we have central roles to play! Whether we go down in the annals to the sound of the trumpets of glory or the wailing of infamy matters not to us. It is enough to know that our names shall be remembered until the day the stars fall into the Dark Ocean.

Also, ask D'rek.

Build 2 cruisers in Aldebran

Move Dread from Formalhaut into D'rek's homeworld. Let's get rid of that dread eh Morg?

... What?

Let me get this straight. You chose not to attack twelve and take the GC so that you instead can take D'rek's homeworld and remove your last ambassador and get the traitor card?

I am attacking Twelve. I want to give Twelve the least chance of beating D'rek/Khell/Tapper

I don't need the science or vp's from that card. D'rek gets the production from the hex, and your dread is gone.

D'rek gets the production anyway, but you're giving twelve another round to prepare... To remove my dreadnaught? It seems a strange choice to make, and more than a little illogical, unless you've somehow convinced yourself that helping D'rek to win will be a victory for you too.

If I move right now then when Twelve is done with me, he can move outwards. I would either love to draw his forces out of that center hex, or make sure in the last round he is dealing with me and not able to move elsewhere

Alright, so then you chose to reduce your own score by attacking me.. for what? What's the reasoning behind your move? I'm honestly curious because I do not see it at all.

@D'rek - rereading the last few pages, I hope I didn't give the impression that I was taking this personally. I'm not. It's been surprisingly relaxing trying to plot ridiculous schemes, the last which you ruined with that latest build :)

I can replace the VP's lost to you with points you get after battle. I also take the traitor card which seems fitting for my play this game as a whole!

Read up on Twelve and his gloating. If I can free D'rek by taking out your dread then that is a good thing for the game. I cannot win and will not win this game yet I can help someone else try to win, against Twelve who has been gloating all game AND lost his dread against the GCs first time round but got a mulligan

I have a hard time understanding how you want to give the game to the person actively removing you from it. It seems pretty retarded. You have lots of materials, but instead of trying for something you just fold so that you can say you weren't trying anyways. It's a strange approach, though much like what SS did. An approach you were quite disapproving of at the time.

Thankfully I have plenty of reactions left.

If I didn't act then Twelve would win the game and then what would be the point of these last two rounds, you don't think I can beat twelve to VP victory do you? I had most VP's out of the losers but it's either win or nothing or someone else win. I have a small chance of taking the centre.

No such impression taken. It's too bad you won't get to go all guerilla on me in round 9 :)

@Tatts - I know your heart is in the right place, but that was a bad move. I wanted to lose Fomalhaut to get back a disc while still gaining the science income, and at the same time there was fair odds Morgy would fail to completely genocide my population in RIgel, while you are almost certainly going to nuke it to alpha centauri. But w/e, by my view of the game and how I want to play it I have no expectation of you helping me without benefit for yourself (I know you're deliberately doing that, but I'm trying not to openly encourage it, or count on it), and any things that you do that benefit me are just unexpected windfall, so it's natural to get some back the other way, too :p

Nope. He bolded it and submitted it and all that jazz. No take backsies. (IMO - Gnaw can do whatever he wants as far as allowing it or distorting it or whatever)

I already changed it once from "build two cruiser" to "move dread" but like Khell says he hasn't gone and I did want to see what you said. It's difficult to collaborate with you when people want the game moved on. So I could always go back to building two cruisers. You do realise Morgy will still be a hindrance to you next round??

Here is a question D'rek, with my 18 or 22 materials should I build 2 cruisers and 5 interceptors? or 8 interceptors? I am including my next upkeep in this equation.

8 interceptors gives a potential 32 damage. That will take out his star bases.

That's what makes it fun! Especially if you block twelve from doing anything malicious in my general direction.
