Okay I did leave a provisional with CF and the GC to do that research but as CF hasn't gone yet I'm retracting it. Tell me more about this plan of yours Tatts.

I am thinking long game here rather than a round or two, I leave you be, you leave me be, I take care of things this side and you take care of things your side. We butt heads maybe in the final round for the win. Artifact key benefits me more than you yes? I can literally end up taking out D'rek who you must see as your tactical threat? I am in a good position but not very clever strategy wise, so you'd either take me and D'rek on or you and I can take on Tapper and D'rek?

It's this decision, if I pin D'rek cruiser she will lose that to my dread, she would also lose a ship against Morgoth in all likelihood. I help Morgoth somewhat and with artifact key I can get 30 resources. I'd go for D'rek territory and production whilst you make yourself stable and maybe help SS in a fight against Tapper.

I am just spit balling here, you could flesh this out a bit better.

So if you plan on pinning D'rek's cruiser why grab the antimatter cannons at all? You yourself said that you don't have the number or actions required to upgrade to attack me why is going after D'rek any different especially adding in a research action on top of it? Plus if you don't pin that ship right now she will definately move it into the fight with Morgoth.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Fine. I think I see some mutual benefits to this arrangement Tats. I'll instead

Build 2 interceptors in Epsilon Eridani (222, my homeworld)

This is just a deterrent to a backstab from you CF. I just can't leave an undefended area open for too long. It will become too tempting after too long for pirates such as yourself.

Yeah, no need to grab the AM cannons at all Tats. Her cruiser is absolutely no match for your computers and double plasma cannons on 2 dreads, plus you have the init.

as twelve points out, even with bankrupting or intentionally de-influencing, there's no real way you're going to be able to move AND upgrade AND research.

Hah...that's funny.

As if you sitting on 15 materials, 2 dreads, 4 remaining actions this round, no power-players pursuing your valuable hexes, AND existing diplomacy wasn't deterrent.enough already.

So be it though.

Which is another reason I don't like this pirate race. Everyone for some reason thinks I can just betray everyone on a whim because it won't cost me 2 stupid VPs. There are a LOT of other reasons why I have no intention of betraying you (see above). :blink:

I don't get what the benefit for twelve is... he agrees to let GP get extra resources from the artifact key and wants GP to take more systems for more income AND it seems he will give up a 3-VP reputation tile for a 1-VP ambassador with GP, all so that GP can be in a stronger position when they fight in later rounds (which GP outright says will definitely happen)...? What is twelve gaining out of this other than a bigger challenge at the end?

If you look at it from Twelve's point of view his production is great, he is pretty powerful and out of me and you he'd prefer to face me in end game rather than face you.

Twelve I would prefer it if you spent some science that would make you unable to grab the artifact key after I make my move. You can build at anytime this round but i'd be more comfortable following through on the plan if you spent your science on other research this go.

So question, Did Tapper build two cruisers or did he by antimatter cannons? His OP says he build 2 cruisers but I thought I saw on thread where he scratched that and researched antimatter cannons instead. My move was based on the fact he researched antimatter cannons. Can Tapper please clarify which is the correct move?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
