Damn, forgot to ask while anyone was around to answer. What's the next number past - 30 on the influence track? -35, -40, etc?

There isn't one. You can't go past -30. You have to pass once you reach it. You can increase your number of influence disks by buying Advanced Robotics or.Quantum Grid (and the Lyra can also get an extra disk as a special racial thing).

No. Hex A had a disc and grey planet. Hex B did not have a disc. I moved disc from A to B. Then placed a new disc on Hex B. It allowed me to switch the grey planet population cube.

Disc to action bar to pay for the action.
Disc to Hex B.

2 discs removed from the influence bar. 1 to action bar and 1 to Hex B.
