dumb question. anyone here from Toronto?

Nope. You Canadian like D'rek?

I'm slightly more than 2000 miles west of Toronto as the bird flies and surprisingly farther North. I didn't realize any part of Canada was farther South than parts of Oregon.

not I. trying to prove the internet is a small world.

any biologists?

@Solid Snape,

I have a proposal for you.

I am a bit snookered with Khell here, and I might need to vacate the premises in a hurry or else I'll be too hung up to be effective.

WE have a mutual enemy in Tapper. In one more round he will be too significant of an opponent for you to handle on your own.

If I were to zap a few ships into his wormhole hex, would you be willing to move ships in to his territory? If you were to put in a provisional and, say, move to Nu Phonecis, I could do my part and move to Delta Corvi.

If he moves nothing to pin your ships, you could continue right through and make a play for his homeworld this turn. IF not, next turn he should be too weak to put up much of a fight. I'm tying up his most dangerous unit to you at any rate.

We both gain some much-needed production for this round and weaken a potential threat. Next round I will withdraw and concern myself with things down south.

@CF

I'll put in my next provisional turn then.

Going use a pulsar MOVE with Geminga.
Move my cruiser one space south from Spica to Gamma Valorum. Sineis

I also want to flip 2 colony ships this round. To populate materials planets on Sineis an Chi Draconus.

That is all.

Edited from Sineis to Geminga.

I've edited this provisional.
Didn't quite understand the worm hole crack.

So just moving my cruiser SE really, into the pulsar system.
Yeah?

How we doing towards turn 4? We get there tonight?

No as we are unlikely to complete round 3 tonight by the looks of it. Morgoth still needs to do his third action.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

We are a forgiving group in eclipse for noobies. If this was your first mafia game however you would have been lynched post haste as there is no forgiveness in Mafia.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Well you are currently towards the bottom in the point category so you need to do something to correct that if you want a chance to win. As your science output is currently a bit low and you are behind in your researches I doubt going the tech route would be advisable for you. Your material production isn't suited to go the monolith route either. That leaves expansion. You have only two options at the moment. Attack Tapper or build the Warp Portal and attack CF or Gnaw.

So a little warmongering is what you probably should be doing at the moment.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

No it's about having the most points, but yeah killing people and stealing their stuff get you points and it's a fun way to go about doing it too.

I like that idea. Really I do. It solves all my problems.

  • SS builds the warp portal.
  • CF flys through it for all those tasty planets and pulsars.
  • Tapper gets do deal with pirates on two fronts.
  • D'rek doesn't get the warp portal
  • Tatts, D'rek, and Twelve battle it out for the win.

I was thinking larger. As in the Malazan Empire. Which, to be more accurate, is about attacking people, stealing their stuff, making them carry it where you want it, and then killing them.

I will upgrade, adding a gauss shield to the empty spot on the cruiser, and in exchange for a +1 computer on the dreadnaught

Uh Oh Tapper. I wonder why he's doing simulations with that race?

:)

Because everyone and their mother is talking me up as a thread. Because he and I border each other. Because CF wants me gone and campaigns for it.

Frankly, playong this game without alliances is getting a tiny bit ridiculous right now with all the canvassing going on.
