Nano robots or neutron bombs. D'rek has the bombs, Morgoth doesn't need either I don' t think. Just looking at your production and situation neither of these suit you either. The only other thing you can afford is Gauss Shield, which will make your middle track further along and anything in that row cheaper in the future.
Okay, you cannot grab a tech unless you want Gauss Shield.
Just asking a question to others here, if Solid puts two Gauss shields on his cruiser would that mean neither ancient could ever hit him? Even if they rolled a six they'd only have a 5.

A 6 always hits. Personally if I was SS grabbing tech I'd be looking at grabbing starbases or neutron bombs (if only to keep it out of others hands). But I'd be doing everything I can to beat that double ancient this turn, if grabbing research this turn jeopardises doing that (which I think it does) I'd concentrate on taking the ancients out.
SS I think you could get more value out of your pulsars by building a cruiser with one, and upgrading with the other... then you need 2 moves (one for your 2 cruisers, and one for your interceptor) and at least one upgrade of your cruiser (hull and plasma cannon gives you the best odds i think) to have a decent chance at taking down those ancients... you should be able to that, but it might be tight to claim the new system also. Have a look at your economy and see whether you can do it. You might be able to by bankrupting your white planet system to recover some money , plus the money you get from the new system, or by flipping colony ships.

I have been running the odds and he has a good chance of both cruisers beating those double ancients.
DEF - W: 142 L: 858 R: 0 --- D-ancientship+D-ancientship
Defender lost 2
Attacker lost 1
With the interceptor.

So IH is a genius. Two cruisers and an interceptor should do it for you.

I thought there was one left? IF not I'll have to go for tech I guess (even with no improved hull), but I'll wait for our resident mod.

OK, for my provisional turn 7 (provided nobody makes a provisional that affects me) I will take one of the final 2 explores
@GNaw,
Ok with that orientation?
EDIT - south of Kappa Scorpii that is.
Result: Beta sextantis, which I will influence (albeit temporarily) for the disco tile. My discovery is an ancient orbital, which I will keep. Orientation as shown

OOooooh, be sooo afraid of my miniscule economy and 3 ships! Yar har me buckos!
@IH, what u talking about foo?. I only have 2 diplo tiles. 1 is promised to Khell and the other is sitting with Twelve. Way I see it, everything else is fair game.
...that wormhole is exactly the draw I wanted though, haha....
EDIT
next explore is our last by the way.

There is 1 left:
@Morgoth, you find Eta Cephi (303)
Having trouble with the file right now, so I will describe
And I assume northwest of Beta Centauri for position; it doesn't look like you have another option.

Ah, the program just crashed or something. I was worried I wouldn't be able to post the start-of-turn-3 board update but now it appears to be working. I'll get the first few actions from everybody and post in a bit.

Since there are no explores left and no way to conveniently connect to anything with Eta Cephi other than Beta Centauri (even with a wormhole generator), I'm just going to pick an orientation. Sound good? Wormholes SE and SW.
