Got tied up with stuff and lost the update I had all typed up (mah bad). Only a few minutes to post now, but will check back this evening.

Action round 4 provisionals processed as noted on page 1 thru D'rek, so SS is up next.

@Gnaw - you find Deneb. The other supernova tile. there are now 5 explores left. Deneb is included in the 19. That's my running tally anyway. If anybody cares to double check that number for me I'd be grateful.

Gnaw Just and FYI, Your upkeep before this latest explore was -10 not -7 unless I overlooked you researching advanced robotics or something. So with this latest explore you are now at -13 and if you influence it you will be at -17. I just wanted to let you know. It's never fun to realise you messed up your upkeep and really screw yourself over because of it.

Gnaw Just and FYI, Your upkeep before this latest explore was -10 not -7 unless I overlooked you researching advanced robotics or something. So with this latest explore you are now at -13 and if you influence it you will be at -17. I just wanted to let you know. It's never fun to realise you messed up your upkeep and really screw yourself over because of it.

When figuring out upkeep this is what D'rek told me. Count the number of hexes you have influenced. Count the number of actions you took so far in the round. Add those together and then subtract Pulsar actions (new this game), Advanced robotics, quantum grid and if Lyra influence disk bonuses. This will tell you how far to count on the upkeep track. Once you counted them out where you end up is your current upkeep.

Hope this Helps. I should take a look at SS's upkeep to see where he is at as well.

I've noticed that not all of the actions are being recorded on the player boards. I see some players have three but others who took actions before them only have two. It's not that big of a deal as long as people update the OP but if players are relying on the boards to figure out where other players stand on upkeep then this could cause them to miss interpret where they truly are.

Why would you do this? Your cruiser isn't pinned you can always move it as long as nobody else moves a ship into the same hex.

By my count, there are 29 outer hexes on the board (including Deneb). So subtracting the homeworlds there are 20 so far.

Okay using the method I just described. At the beginning of the round you had 3 hexes influenced. You have taken 4 actions. And including the supernovae hex you settle 3 more hexes. This is 10 influence disks used. You didn't use any pulsars, you aren't the Lyra and you didn't purcahse either advanced robotics or quantum grid, and because I forgot to mention it earlier you didn't use the influence action to remove influence disks from any of your hexes. So 10-0 is still 10 influence disks. So when you look at your player board and count over 10 you come to an upkeep of -17.

Now if your player board money is correct prior to you exploring this latest hex then you have an income of 6 and bank storage of 13 money putting you at 19. So 19-17 still nets you at 2 money left in the bank. If you colonize the supernovae hex with one money and science like you mentioned then your income goes up two so you would have 4 left in the bank after this round. If you settle both grey planets as money your income jumps to 10 so your ending bank would be 6.

Production 8, bank 13, upkeep -17. If you do nothing more your next round money will be sitting at 1. Upkeep takes a massive leap around that -13 mark...sucks.

You could always populate with 2 moneycubes instead of 1, putting your production at 10.
