If you want to be real cool about it, help me put the pincers on SS in Altair. No need to go against Twelve anymore...especially while he's preoccupied with Tattersail. You can colonize the shit out of that system for lots of resources right away, and by eliminating SS's excursion fleet, we're both much freer to act in the final round. I can take care of shit around his homeworld.

AND it has the advantage that you're helping free up both tatts and tapper too, which only works to your advantage with Twelve looming to the north.

Upgrade Starbases:
Remove Plasma cannon and replace with antimatter cannon & place Zero Point sorce over the Electron Computer
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Pretty sure he was getting set to unload on SS himself :D

I still think you should have been sending your interceptors against twelves dreads CF, best chance of killing it.

This is my oblique and obscure way of stating that I will mod this game to the end if CF wants/allows. Game 4 will not start until this one is over.

@IH You think so? I'm not at all certain what Tapper is planning. But I can see CF's move convincing Tapper to split SS's territory between them. CF gets warp portal and pulsars. Tapper gets homeworld and 203. *shrug*

Well Tapper is next. Now we'll get to see what he is planning. Probably another upgrade of his Dread so he can carry more interceptors.

Khell, I've already made my peace with attacking you. You repelled me and can pretty easily do it again with a couple of starbases, plus I know you'd suicide just to make sure I don't succeed. I'm not going after your homeworld.

I say we free up Tapper and Tatts to act. There's not much I can do to help in the fight vs. Twelve anymore. I think killing off a minor system and capping his homeworld was enough for my puny fleet! Tatts hasn't even tried yet!

  • Morgoth: Move ships to homeworld

  • GP: Influence Alderbran Hex 107, flip one colony ship. Remove disc from 232, replacing science cube onto science track. Colonize Money Planet on Aldebran.
  • Khell: BUILD 1 Cruiser and 1 Interceptor in Arcturus for 8 materials.

  • CF: Move Interceptor in Epsilon Aurigae to 55 Gamgri, Move interceptor in Iota bootis to Geminga

  • Twelve: Upgrade Starbases: Remove Plasma cannon and replace with antimatter cannon & place Zero Point source over the Electron Computer

That would be a waste imho. He only has 3 ceptors available. Doing an upgrade to move the third is less efficient than just moving it in a separate action. And CF's move into SS's homeworld (which I missed until I updated the file) forestalls moving that direction.

One thing it does do that I think is quite clever: just about guarantees that Tapper will finish the game with the traitor card.

I'd love to see Tatts smash his newly constructed fleet against my wall and see all his pretty ships get smashed to little itty bitty pieces and laugh all the way to victory.

On a bit of a side note, how many points are some of you shooting for? I have a number in my head as to what I'll have at the bare minimum by the end of round 9. I want to see if anyone seriously think they can obtain higher.

You are perfectly welcome to mod to the end of the game if you want. You do a way better job overall, and I hope I can return the favour during the next game if you need a break.

I have the original file with many, many more objects present that I deleted to keep size down in our working game. When you're ready to set up game 4 just lemme know and I'll send it so you have all the game pieces to work with.

You're right, but I suspect it just isn't in Tatts nature. He's already saying now that oh he's going to be so lofty and attack twelve in a kamikaze strike, so if he's saying that now there's no way he will actually do it. He's far too contrary to actually do what he says he will.
