Solid you do realise that you won't be able to influence them even if you did take them right? Your upkeep won't allow that. I can just as easily influence them on my first go next round, and I do not lose production of them this round because the cubes go to the graveyard.

I can relinquish both pulsars if need be. So I could influence them if the income was right.

@CF, want to move one cruiser and the dread instead of 2 cruisers.

I suggest forgetting Vega. You're way overextended already. If you move the dread in, you need to do an upgrade to put armor on it. One missile hit destroys it.

Exchanging ambassadors with CF would give you another money cube off your track.

And this will hurt, but consider researching Advanced Economy. Colonize the one you already have. and the two money planets in Altair. But you're going to end up at -30, so you had better make damn sure you can kill all the cubes in Altair.

SS, if your going to make more than one move I'd just do them. At this point I can't see anyone doing anymore reactions. If someone is planning to do a reaction PM CF or this round could take a while!

Yeah I meant Altair (that the one with the interceptor in eh?), I want all 3 ships in Altair. Exactly for that reason. I NEED it having come this far.

So,


Turn 9.
Flip all colony ships for 3 money.
Trade 6 materials for 2 money.
MOVES remaining wayward dreadnought into Altair.

Um.... That's just suicides your dread, the interceptor almost certainly kills it. Your much better off having dread in Vega and your two cruisers against the interceptor.

And now you can't colonise the planets even if you do take the system. You can wait to trade for money until after the battle you know?

Yes SS, just want to make sure you know, you don't need to secure the funding before upkeep phase. You're better off not doing your resource trades right now.

And I gotta echo IH on not moving straight thru to Vega. That dread is toast if either missile hits (which is pretty likely).

I have been thinking about it. I offered it earlier but I'm wondering if I shouldn't wait to see what the outcome of my VP draw is first.

If it happens that I draw the remaining "4" tile or one of the 3 tiles, then I'd be better off keeping that at this stage in the game, since that's worth quite a bit more than a production bonus at this point. If I get all 1's then I'd probably do diplo.
