I am busy for the next hour or so. Would have done a board update yesterday but I had to stick around home yesterday (files are on the school computer).
I promise to update soon. Sorry to keep everyone in the dark.

Fools! Cowards! You have doomef us all to a lifetime of tyrannical rule by the mad Lord Twelve!
D'rek, Morgoth actually asked for diplo with you, what greater assurance did you need that he would not have attacked? If you required greater clarity re The Plan, you could have asked before making your move.
And now I see that Tatts is taking the very first puny excuse available to him to also not commit to twelve. Pah, I say, pah!
Whilst SS continues on with his own dead-end endeavours.
I say we team up with twelve and take out these three instead.

Ha ha, suck up. You worried he coming for you? I am /> I have no plan now that you guys are chickens.
Us chickens?! What ridiculous hypocrisy is this? You're the one who's bailed out without twelve even lifting a finger in his defence. What's the matter? Did he look at you funny and you ran squealing like a stuck pig?
I'm not worried about twelve coming after me. After all, what exactly do I have to lose? You and D'rek are the ones throwing away your chances of actually winning the game.
But we all knew Tatts would do whatever D'rek does. Considering he follows her lead like a little lost puppy every time, no matter how hard she kicks him straight in his little puppy nutsack.
Burn.

Ouch, I am literally on fire here Khell, if I attack Twelve on my own then I might hinder Twelve a little but D'rek will surely be a winner there. I don't even know what the VP's are at the moment. How far ahead is Twelve?

You are misunderstanding how the influence action works. If you used two influence actions to do what you did then it would have been correct. But you can't do two actions at once. So your is an illegal move. The influence action allows you to move two influence disks. In this case you chose to move them from your influence track to hexes. As the Magellan you can reset only one colony ship per influence action. So you only have one colony ship available for use. If you want a second one then you will need to do another influence action on your next action.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Can I do an upgrade action instead of influence then or am I too late? I'll accept it, if it is too late.

Okay scrap the influence decision. I was away from the computer the last few days and haven't really looked at the board. Morgoth hasn't gone yet so technically it is still on me. Colonise advanced money planets on Mu Arae, Vega and one of the ones on Gnaw's ex homeworld. 3 money planets.
Upgrade Dread Improved Hull over both hulls.

Question for you guys before I post Morgoth's move
He's given me instructions but I'm wondering something about exiles ship components. They start with ion turret on their orbital, but can that be placed on other ships too or is it considered a rare technology for all intents and purposes?
It really affects the outcome of the impending battle with D'rek and my choice in how to implement his instructions, so I need a clear answer on that before I proceed. I'm looking but haven't found anything yet.

I was under the impression that the Ion Turret is much like an ancient ship part as in you get only one but as it's a default ship part you can always get it back if you uncover it. I don't think you can customize the rest of his ships with that part. But I could be wrong.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Actually Morgoth upgraded. He left that as a provisional even before he left for vacation. Then D'rek moved into Beta Centauri and SS upgraded his Dread using one of his pulsars. It's now Tapper's/IH's turn.

I'd say it's waaaay too late to change but I'll leave that up to the mod as it looks like it's Tapper's turn now as Morgoth left a provisional, D'rek moved and SS upgraded.

I agree with Twelve. In table-style terms, regardless of what is on your default blueprints you can only put down ship part tiles that are from the basic 5 or that correspond to a technology you have researched. Ion Turret isn't even a research-able tech, so there are no ship part tiles for Morgoth to even use to put more down. The only Ion Turrets are the one discovery tile - which Morgoth does not have so he can't put down - and the default icon on his orbital blueprint - which is printed into the board so can't be moved.

Well if I have to stick with an influence action can I at least make one that make sense? I was thinking I would have 2 ships to further colonise planets, without that I would be stuck with what I wanted to do this round. I was only influencing those hexes originally so that I could reach IH for diplomacy. D'rek's move has no way influenced my decision nor has Solid's.

What did you have in mind?
Edit:
If you want to swich which population cubes to use I'd be okay with that but I'm not sure I'd be okay with you changing which hexes you would want to influence.
