Looks pretty good. I'd like to see what it looks like with ships though. The hex looks a bit crowded right now and you don't yet have the VP total nor the artifact symbol on it yet.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yes. I dragged the planets over from a different window so they're probably not to the correct scale. Same with the wormholes; those are obviously too large (and I just remembered that the stroke on those are 4 pixels. Dropping that to 1 will make a lot more room inside the hex.)
I was just so happy at getting the fucking hexes to click together properly I simply threw that stuff in and called it a day. (I quit trying to make Inkscape work the way I wanted. I Rho Indied Adobe Illustrator.)
Anyone have a suggestion what color to use to replace white?

Brown, orange and pink all use red of the primary colours (and orange and brown can also contain yellow). Blue is the exact opposite of it, so I'd suggest a type of blue - however, that might give you problems with the lettering later on. Black might also work but that might mess with the hex outlines.

And yet you manage to comment anyway Gnaw is trying to make it easier to view the board on your phone. And, I presume, throwing his hat into the mod ring for next game

I'm glad Gnaw will be modding the next game. I'd hate not to have a chance at getting revenge as soon as possible.

@Khell,
What do you want to do here. I think it's pretty obvious I don't have the firepower to take you out. We can commit mutual suicide or live in peace for now.
Non aggression pact? I'd like to try and drive some of the ancients from my old stompin' grounds. You'd be free to capture the hive hex with your cruiser.
If you're keen on this idea, I'll move to an ancient square and tie up one of my ships as a goodwill gesture.
@Anybody who knows
I have learned from recent moves by Gnaw and Twelve that influence actions can be more useful than I had previously imagined. Is it possible, for instance, for me to depopulate Beta sextantis, return the orbital cube to my science track and then re-populate it with money?
Can I do that over and over, essentially trading production in my science track for production in the money track?
Looking back I see that I populated it with a money cube. Just wondering how flexible that is when returning the population.

You can keep doing that for as long as you have science to trade.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Black should be ok. But there is one already. You're right about the blue. A lighter shade of that will work. And as backup in case one of the other colors are hard to see a less neon green. Current one is sorta PEN green.

Heh there is a restriction I found in the official eclipse FAQ at boardgame geek. Twelve's use of the influence is not legal. That question is specifically asked and answered there. A bit more caffeine and I'll dig it out.

You can do what I did. Move a disc from beta whatever to the empty hex.
Pull your cubes.
Move the disc from you other system to beta whatever. Repopulate.
That leaves the one system uninfluenced, but your next turn you make the influence action, turn two colony ships up, influence the dis and colonize.

Whatever I do, depends on what you do. But I generally take the view of 'leave me alone, and I'll leave you alone.' Suffice to say, I'm going to keep upgrading those starbases in case you change your mind once more.
A better goodwill gesture would be moving all your ships away. Just because you move one away doesn't mean I'm going to suddenly start trusting you. But I suppose it would be better than nothing.

What are you talking about? You are allowed to move up to two influence disks. One to remove a disk and place it back on the player board and one to move a disk from the player board to a hex. It doesn't say it can't be the same hex.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

A B and c
A and B are influenced. c is not.
What I did was move B to c and a new disc to B. 2 disc movements.
It is asked in the FAQ
Twelve's actions are easy to retcon though without affecting anything or anybody.

Edit: in red. I was wrong.

noYes, if the disc is moved to the track first. - Can if A can be moved to B and reverse. no.

I was going to show you where it said that. But I was wrong. What you did is legal because you placed the disc on the track.
What the person over there was trying to do was make it a single disc action in the context of the influence action allowing 2 disc 'actions'. In other words he wanted to do the same thing twice in the same influence action.
I'm sorry for the confusion.
