I know it just looks like I'm doing what you tell me, which j suppose I am, but I did have a reason for going with the materials. I'm not thinking of doing much more anyway, other than build and move really. I can use my pulsars to a certain extent for that. If have the odd action to research or what have you. But as I'd not planned on anymore exploring and populating I'd still be left with a ship card to flip of need be.

This is all moot anyway, because you're right. I'll need the money.
Plus all this started because I wanted to put a money cube on there in the first place.
I can still flip the ship card for materials can't I?

I hope everything is alright with my upkeep now. I'm sorry if I've kept changing it, I know we're waiting for a board update.

So my money should go upto 8. With an upkeep of -7.
My materials will go up 4 from the income, plus 1 from flipping the colony card. Taking into account the cruiser I built, that leaves me with 5. Yeah?

The science will go up by 4.

Hey it's his first time. Look how long it's taken Tatts to figure this game out and I'm not 100% sure he has in all honesty. I'm trying to help him avoid a situation that could put him in a bad spot financially. It could be a valid strategy for him at this stage of the game to go material instead of money I don't know. Who knows, he may plan on just passing after one normal action only to influence the two grey planet hexes to build up his materials while taking away from science so he can then build orbitals to increase his science/money and then in round 9 build 6 monoliths to gain 18 VP and grabbing some tech points along the way.

Yep. When he calculated his upkeep he took it a step futher by starting with his beginning balance for the round and then subtracted all of his actions that cost resources then added his new amounts to come up with his starting amounts for the next round.

Solid, look at the tech's. Morgoth gets one, then D'rek gets one, then you get to decide, any point in this round you can upgrade your ship part. Grab a cheap tech.
