Why do you have 6 swords, do you lose them often?

Hah. In jokes.

Lol, good one.
In al seriousness, it's the deterioration that gets me. That and recalling some of my earlier trips exploring Velen wilderness that'd take me far, far away from any blacksmiths for in-game days.

Currently rolling with smth like 15k in money. I gotta agree with Gothos-overincumberance is becoming a problem. I genrally carry 6 spare swords + 1 spare armour (for emergencies), but i've gotten to the poin where I'm no longer looting bandits, b/c not only is the low-lvl gear heavy, more to the point, Novigrad's smiths are running out of money to buy that junk off me. And since I don't fast-travel, it's becoming an annoyance

You know you can carry repair tools with you, right?

Oh, I do. But i'm a hoarder... :apt:

Have made no progress this week due to it being deadlines week at work, and needing sleep.

However, bit of news: official mod tools have been released! CDPRed partnered with Nexus Mods for this and TW3 will use their Mod Manager, same as Skyrim.

Also, I haven't played since the last update, but aren't there stash points now? And if there are, are they useful?
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

1 stash in BB's castle, 1 in Novigrad (dandelion's inn). Interchangeable-all stuff can be retreived from either. No sure how many in Skellige-haven't gotten that far.

They're nice to have, but usefulness is limited if you choose not to fast travel... Which I do.

Another weekend with many hours played, and now I have a serious problem.

I'm almost level 20. I don't want to leave Novigrad.
I finished the Ciri-tracking quest-line. I did the boxing, and the horse-races. Basically, aside from high-level scavenger hunts + contracts, I'm mostly done here. The story urges me to travel with all haste to Skellige. And yet...

I love Novigrad. The twisted geometry of its streets, the way I almost don' have to look at maps anymore to make my way around the place from one district to th next.

And I really enjoy just running around, having Geralt help out people he cares about. I finished the masquerade and the rest of that line. I've been pretty consistent in my polite treatment of T'riss. Dijkstra' got some awesome dialogue in that last scene after the boat sails.
Helped Zoltan with the cards. I believe I now have all the hero cards for the North. The Nilfgaard and Sco'ia'tel decks are coming along nicely too--though I don't think I'll get full sets, b/c I did miss out on the White Orchard merchant cards.

Once again, though. Overleveled so much it's not funny. I've got a lvl 15 + a lvl 16 contracts that are done but need to be handed in, still. Most fights right now devolve to "alt-Aard + a whole bunch of finishers". After loosing the championship bout twice, I finally figured out that I've been doing dodge move wrong (pressin dodge, then direction, instead of vice versa). Made combat even simpler.

Bugged quest: by the beekeper estate, there's a hut with a woman Yanina, who keeps complaining about her chickens. Cannot speak to her to trigger the quest. That exclamation mark is sitting on my map, taunting me.

Right now I'm helping Dandelion secure a busines loan. Then I gotta play Roche and maybe someone other "old friends" for rare cards. Then I'll probably look for a boat to Skellige. Still thinking on Dijkstra's offer. I really dunno if that's smth I want to be a part of.

Yeah, the Djikstra offer kept me thinking for a while too. Eventually I decided I wanted to see what would happen.

I too loved Novigrad, but Skellige is also very impressive. I also like how they've just copied names from a map of Norway.

I stumbled into that attick by accident (I was looking for Roche to play him for his rare card. Got Saskia for my troubles)
Then when I listened to him, it really didn't seem like I was doing all that much. Plus, any quest involving trolls in this game are hilarious. I'm glad I followed through.

Lmao. I'm playing the entire game in Russian (same as the previous 2). As such, I don't necessarily get the regional stereotyping (means I also don't have to try to pick out the plethora of British regional accents from everyone else.)

The poor syntax and grammar are just as well done as in TW2, and just as amusing

Nope, none of that. Some good quality TV-actor level voice work in Russian version of the Witcher games. Particularly great is Zoltan, whom I believe to be the only one with a consistent voice actor from 1-3. When I heard the traditional "Scottish" Zoltan in my TW2 prior to the release of the EE, after the rambunctous Russian Zoltan in TW1, I had to stop playing and go torrent 1C's voiceover files.

Well finally made it to Skellige. Lvl 21, withh pretty much most Novigrad content wrapped up. "Mortal Sins" took forever, but it's such a good story.
And now looks like there's more politicking to be done. Gonna roll with the main line for now, but already looking forward to when the story takes a break, so that I can explore, pick up more contracts, and wrap up a few quests I picked up back in Novigrad.

Finally finished this game. Only took me 3 months. I think I did most of the quests. There's still a large handful of "?" areas I have to discover, so I'm sure I'm missing a few quests and scavenger hunts.

Spoiler-free, the game was extremely satisfying. Definitely one of the best RPGs I've ever played. Bethesda (and others) really have a lot to work on if they want to compete in the writing department.

Regarding the ending and other thoughts:

Skellige is HUGE. Goddaymn, those lightning storms...

Did the mask thing, now find myself in a main quest lull, as I'm supposed to meet Yen on another island. Since I already did the mandatory tour of all the job boards on Ard Skellige, I now find myself planning how I'm gonna tackle these contracts/quests.

Haven't done much "off the track" exploring, because SKELLIGE IS HUGE. Suspect I'll leave that for the after-main quest-free-roam.

Also, it's payday today, so I'm finally gonna put down the 20 bucks for the Season's pass. I'm not even done, and I already want more.

So, I decided to finish the main story arch, having no more quests to do.

Second failed quest: "black pearl". Could not, for the life of me figure out how to save the employer from those drowners. Gave up after a bunch of tries.

Didn't play much past weekend, b/c I was being social. Doing a bunch of sidequests in Ard Skellige, building up the Gwent deck.

Currently about to head into Cave of Dreams, then I'll have to follow up with 2 of the Jarl's kids' quests, before I overlevel again.

I got the Bear maps, too. May get distracted and chase those down for a bit.

Black pearl quest was glitched for a while. Your employer died in 1-hit no matter what. Made it a pain to complete. I ended up getting lucky and drawing agro after many tries. Should be fixed in the latest patch though. Have you updated?

I'm running 1.07, I believe. That's the latest one, no?

And it doesn't seem to be a 1-hit, I just can't ever get there fast enough. What's truly annoying is that those frowners then go immortal and take no damage, so I need to run away...
