I like the improvements! (on the Draconus pic). I think darkening the BG definitely pushed it back, and overall, it's much better!! Great job.

It's awesome, just 'inhuman' enough.

two comments - the color from his eyes bleeds into the surrounding skin a bit too much and something weird going on with the hair/skin beneath the ear, sort of looks like a secondary mini-ear.

Looks good, I think the ear is a too low and I imagined silchas with a stronger chin/ jaw myself. Maybe if you'd added collarbones, more neck definition to make him a bit less feminine. I don't really recall how he was described but I think his features are too soft here. Maybe a scar or something? Did he have any on his face? I like the colour mixture you used.
No Touchy.

Worked some more on Silchas.
EDIT: From suggestions, I moved the mouth, added a kind of background and dialed down the pinkishness a bit.
I tried to lighten him further, but it lost to many details, and looked kinda stupid.

Even better!
More inhuman and striking, and I really like the blue veining beneath the skin and the shadow across the R side of his face.
Nice fix on the ear.
Skin may still be a shade too pink.

Ooooo, yes! Move the lips up though... I mean, for a human face, they're too low, and that's also making the chin look too small. I personally am ok with how 'pink-ish' he is, but maybe doing something with the background will help push him forward? He does sort of blend into it (hahah).

Overall, great work, I really like your take on him.

Yes. This is a lot frakkin better. I think it looks real good, don't have a problem with anything really and in my opinion you don't need to move up the mouth and the chin is good now. Human, but not quite. Probably favourite one you've done so far. Only thing I can say is that you could put more detail into the hair of your peeps so it doesn't look flat compared to the face and the one thing I don't like is the smudge on his neck light below his chin which kinda blends his neck into the background. Good shit.

OK, now give him an afro. (I love it, it looks awesome)
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Hate doing hair, it's something I really need to work on.
I'll chuck an afro on him just to practice.

What color are his nipples?
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

EDIT for not being relevant to the thread, and also to make worrywort's ridiculous response nonsensical, muahahahaha.

I still stand by what I had said though, so pthtphtphtphtph :)

Looks great Nobbs, definitely one of my favorite takes on SR. I wonder though why you didn't opt for a darker background?

You realize I'm now lurking on the forums, hunting fruitlessly for a "MBotF Characters with Afros" thread, right? Posted Image

And stalking all your posts for artwork, of course.
