Decided this one will be Dassem
Not to sure about his armour at the moment.
Front leg probably needs fixing as well
Attachment dassem.jpg

Experimenting with the chainmail on his arm, not sure about it, does it look like chainmail to any one?

Looks like Erikson

Downloaded Sculptris, (free sculpting software from same people as Z Brush) for a little muck about.
Somehow a Jaghut appeared again.

That somehow manages to be both my mental images of a Jaghut at once. UNCANNY. nicely done!

OK, lately I've been getting a few of, what I think, are my better pics printed, so I've been going back over it all, adjusting and fixing things.
The sky and a couple of other things in my Itko Kan Massacre painting really bug me now, so I've changed it.

The new one's definitely better (albeit that the older version's sky does have its charm; with some extra smudging/detailing it might have brought more drama into the atmosphere...) on general terms. If you're still twiddling with it, I'd try to make the perspective of the hill clearer. It appears the grasses at the top are the same size as on the foreground.

I love your new version, but I prefer the original's grass and hill. I think the darker foreground helped separate plains and give it more depth.

The sky in the older version has much more emotional power and tension to it, while the new sky is just...boring and gray.

The one below the older one? I like the finer detail - like the grass - in the top one but as Whisperz mentioned, the second one has better clouds/ atmosphere and colours. The figures definitely look better through.

To me, the gray sky brings out the red of the battlefield a lot more. With the red sky there is no contrast and it just kind of blends together.

Agree with Eddie Dean on this one. The red sky might be more appropriate for another scene from the series though cuz it does look awesome... but context-wise the grey sky just fits this particular aftermath scene more.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Hmm looking at it again maybe you guys are right, the sky does look too busy. I really like the fog effect in the updated one.

I’ve been working on a pic of Coltaine for the last couple of days, but it’s not co-operating so I decided to bash out a landscape instead.

Don't you just hate it when the page refuses to see reason?

This ones a beauty, really like how you have to look for nails on the tree to realize its Aren way you're looking at. Very nice touch and the sky really has the right attitude. My crit if you're taking any, would be to maybe yellow the sky. Also the figures to the left seem to want more room in the page, almost didn't notice them but when I did the mind did a lil' backflip for joy which may be what you're going for? Think you could still manage to fit in a lil more... maybe a particular set of dogs per say  Who are the figures you got there right now? Did I mention I liked the nails? I think that needs an extra mention...

Nice sketches, I like the colors!
I would also push the figures (and the trees) further into the image; the left side appears a bit cramped compared to the vast open space.

The figures were just random people I chucked in there, mainly for scale.
It started off really yellow but clicked the auto tone(or maybe auto colour... I forget) button in PS in it came out like this, which I much more prefer.
I might go back and change how cramped it is, but I kinda like it as it is... (at the moment anyway)

Anyway, onward and upward to better things...
