Playing WCS, sure, but that was a pretty assertive claim, given it makes today D-day and means that either Blend AND the Dude were inno or that there was in fact a four-man scum team - again taking what Blend, the almost-self-confessed scum at his word) to vote the same way to get a lynch and it could be friggin' D-day and you're plonking down second votes all over the place? IF YOU ARE PLAYING WCS OF THREE REMAINING SCUM YOU ARE RISKING HANDING THEM THE GAME EVERY TIME YOU VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO ALREADY HAS A VOTE ON THEM.

I was seriously worried about leaving my vote on HiddenOne earlier because it was at two votes when I went to bed. But we had plenty of time and drive-by voting was less likely. Now we have considerably less time and you're just dropping a vote and running? And a vote on atrocious grounds?

However, I must re-iterate the fact that as far as I am concerned four is an important number in this game. Once again I will direct you to the sign up thread - Bubba wanted twelve people in the game. If oversubscribed he said he could bump it to sixteen players. Not fourteen, or thirteen or fifteen, it had to be twelve or sixteen players. I mentioned it on day one and have done so several times since, but people seem to be wilfully ignoring it..

I do not subscribe to Blend's theory that we are four factions of scum because I know with absolute certainty there is at least one player in this game who is not scum. I have said on thread before though that a team of four scum would not be unfair in a game with no CF.

Meh - my thoughts after a quick catch up. I'll be here for at least the next six hours or so, probably longer, so we shall see what we shall see.

I fail to see how no CF makes it MORE fair to have four scum instead of the standard three. That makes it harder for us - as is apparent - by increasing the uncertainty. Throw on top of that no reveals (thus Finders have a harder job, if present), and I mean...we could have lost today. If we didn't get lucky and hit scum, it's game over by now. That seems excessive, to me. And bumping up to 16 players is just a nice increment. Granted it may have to do with the "hidden mechanic" Bubba mentioned, as much as the fundamental game setup.

But presume the for the minute that there are four scum in the game - this still doesn't tally with your chain of scum that ends with me as "the fourth man" - are we to chalk that up to cider as well?

The fourth man thing was a play on the Cambridge spy ring that blew apart MI6 in the sixties. I wasn't looking at consecutive numbers, I was saying there is another member of this ring - the mysterious "fourth man". At the time I had convinced myself you were the man. Not so sure now, hence previous retraction. Still think Boney is not right though.

Being a noob does not make you automatically inno. My first ever game I was rolled as a killer, and I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for them pesky kids. If anything, in an altless game like this you have a huge advantage if you are noob scum, because we all know who you are and we tend to give you the benefit of the doubt. If we were playing with alts as normal it would be far more difficult to ID you, and if you were drawn as Fener - you'd be dead by now.

This whole day seems very sticky. There are a few things to look at and no one is standing out for the lynch. At least three of you look scummy. WCS scenario says this is D day.

So if I look outside the box for a second and assume that we have 3 scum still left then we are going to need all 5 of town to vote together. There has not been a mafia game I have played whereby we have caught scum this easily and early.

let's assume The Dude was a real finder. He fingers HO as scum, we leave HO alone. We lynch Blend because of this connection but WCS dictates that The Dude could have been right and HO is scum.

In an alts game he would have been pretty obvious - and promptly accused as playing the noob card then subsequently lynched. Most of us learned that lesson from ol' Gem Windcaster, hehe.

Case on BC: alleged false reveal? I'm still not sure where you were going with that.

Case on HO: Classic HO play until he got called out and made a few good posts.

Case on Sixty: disagreed with Tatts, in particular voted for Tatts early instead of Blend.
